  1. The first new one was on tonight. And Leonard truly is an idiot.
  2. Me too! I'm a fan of GoT and I've been hoping to see The Vikings at some point so this was right up my alley. I got involved straight away. I was even shouting 'It's a trap! It's a trap!' at the screen.......
  3. Underneath her avvie where it says 'Reading now'.....
  4. My father has a serious allergy to fish. He also swells up in the face and neck. I've never seen it but my Mom did when they first got together. She said he looked like Mr Potato Head! It did nearly kill him though as it was back in the 1960s and there were no such things as epipens.
  5. Eh? You can't burn James Patterson! He keeps loads of other writers in work!
  6. And from that I think you have no idea why I'm insulted. But never mind. And at least one person got a thank you.......
  7. It took me a few minutes to realise who it was too! Very odd seeing him look that old! TBH, I was a bit worried about the stars it has in it but it works same as always. Having a problem with one actor though. Every time I see him I think Ron Swanson! <pointy fingers> But hopefully he's a good enough actor for me to get over that. One really good thing about it is how it looks. I was 14 years old in 79 and it looks right for the period.
  8. Ok.... I'm beginning to feel a tad insulted so I'm just going to walk away.......
  9. Ermmm.... there aren't any elves and dwarves in GoT...... And it's nothing like Tolkien. Not sure where you got that impression.
  10. I'm gonna wait and see what the general reaction is before I see it. I've had enough of Lucas ruining my memories of the original three, thank you very much!
  11. I don't like that one either! Most annoying! I have now bought a PVR for the express purpose of recording something so I can whiz through the ads. It was Fargo that did it. And the Returned. So many adverts that whatever tension or emotion is built up is completely dissipated after 5 mins of ads.
  12. Pennywise...... Between Stephen King and whoever designed that particular clown costume.... they have caused more coulraphobia than anything else ever.

I think it's Craig Joubert you should be thanking. That was a horrible decision.
  14. I'm glad it's not just me who thought DoD should have won the dance off. I avoid all the media gossip about SCD so don't know what Kristina may or may not have said but.... I would be surprised if that was true.
  15. I just had a look on FreeReg, which a free search engine for genealogical records and the only John Pierce listed is a pauper. So unlikely to be him.
  16. I asked on Absolute Write and 'ex-libris means 'from the library of' so John Pierce was the owner of the volume not the publisher
  17. It's not a typo as this is the list of MPs for Chester: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/City_of_Chester_(UK_Parliament_constituency)#MPs_1545_to_1660
  18. LOL! Yep that's a contender! Although.... it is early in the series. We may yet get a Pantsman! I'm not sure about YBF yet. I like both Jack and Romesh but they are both alike in their humour. Both grumpy and dry. Maybe too much alike?
  19. Oh jeez... Kirstie needs the right music cos she struggles to stay on the beat. But she may prove me wrong... who knows. And yes, Malice does work as I've done it myself as a Charleston.
  20. But I can see My Generation working as a quickstep. A Town Called Malice works as a Charleston so why not?
  21. Hmmm... a paso to Beautiful Day is really not going to work. The emphasis isn't right. Which poor soul is doing that?
  22. I only saw the last half so don't really know who is who yet. But that squid..... oy. How many were they trying to poison with that? And nine pound for a salad? They'd get that back at high speed! And I like Jack, he has a very dry and subtle sense of humour. But they could have warned us about that mankini.......
  23. I just finished watching the third series and loved it! And Tatiana Maslany is an amazing actress. Eight parts all different to each other but in subtle ways. She never exaggerates them. And poor Helena just breaks my heart every week. Those little moments of compassion in amongst all that craziness. And when she suddenly realises what a normal life is... the look on her face just makes me tear up.
