I think England need a serious think about our spinners. We are going to need them in the UAE and none of them are up to snuff at the minute. And I hope our batsmen get plenty of practice in facing them before they go!

I bought this yesterday. Both the slipcase version and the cheap version. Because I knew I would cry all over the one I was reading...... and I did. I miss PTerry every day.

This is very sad. But I also live in Birmingham and am also not surprised. The Council has had to cut so many services I'm amazed there are any left at all. I'm sitting in my local one at the moment, using their wi-fi and listening to a father read to his children. Would be a damn shame to lose the place.

Well that was fun! Bit of a shame for the supporters that it didn't last until today though. Saturday at Edgbaston is always great fun. There will be lot of fancy dress going back to the shop unused! This is turning into a very odd Test series.

I watched about 15 minutes then gave it up. The relationship between the leads was all wrong.

It's weird though, that they didn't. They seem to just give up and I can't work out why. It was pretty the same team as Cardiff and they played really well there. I just can't understand why they are so mentally fragile.

TBH, I didn't watch or listen to much of it either. And only partly because England got ripped a new one. I just don't like that kind of one-sided cricket. I like it to be a battle between the batsman and the bowler. Test cricket is at its best when it's a fight to the finish.

I don't have a photo but I'll try to describe it better. Imagine a sheet of A4 paper. Take a pen or pencil and draw blobs of varying sizes on it, leaving gaps between them. Now you have to draw a straight line from the top of the page to the bottom. But wait, the blob is in the way. So, draw around the blob, keeping the same distance away from the blob as you do from the edge of the paper. Go around the blob until the line is level with where you started and continue down the page. Now start a new line the same distance away from the first line. Keep the lines parallel all the way down. Go around all the blobs as you progress across the page.
