  1. The bookmark I can't seem to find was from Paperchase. Its the thin metal stick with a frog in a crown on the top. You may have it if you have 20 of them?
  2. Yeah, I will do. You should definatly read Eragon. Eldest and Brisingr will follow as you will be hooked on the series instantly. Then you will be desperatly waiting for the fourth book to be released. I was the same as I was introduced to Eragon as Eldest came out then had to wait about a year for Brisingr and it was absoloute hell!

    Anyway, I need sleep.

Take care and I'll catch you around!

    :)

    Night

  3. I also think Lockhart is a bit like David Brent. Unaware of himself, naive and very slightly vulnerable. I would love her to write Magical Me though. Or any spin off for that matter. I will read it, although I still need to get Quidditch Through The Ages and the other one (Beasts or something). I was going to include Moste Potente Potions chesilbeach as I would also like to have a copy. Just to see what the potions could actually do!
  4. Ah, sounds good. I usually only ready Fantasy and stuff but there are a few novels I really enjoy. I think the main reason I dont read many novels of other genres is because I dont have many friends that recommend them and I feel safer with a fantasy. Prefer to be taken to another world of magic etc. One of my favourite books however, is The Curious Incident Of The Dog In The Night Time. I love Terry Pratchetts books, The Harry Potter series, read Book 1 of LOTR but have the rest and The Hobbit on my TBR after Potter series pile along with The Sword of Shannara by Terry Brooks Enjoyed first two books of Dark Materials but not the third. I love Christopher Paolinis Inheritance Cycle aswell. Have you tried or read Eragon, Eldest and Brisingr or Shannara Series by Brooks?

  5. Also, I cant really picture the crying baby or the talkative toddler driving so I imagine you, of the three, are the driver which would make reading very hard!
  6. Hello! Yeah, so what other books are you into? I'm Dan by the way. :)

  7. hello :) hows it going. thanks for the friend add :D

  8. Yeah, my CoS is battered too and I've had mine since I was 11 and I'm also 19 now. What other fantasy type books do you read? Add me as a friend!
  9. Ahh thats cool! I'm on the second to last chapter at the moment. I'm re-reading through the whole series back to back but I've read this book more times than the others so I'm getting abit bored with it. What about you?
  10. Welcome Im also new here and you will get on fine as everyone seems really friendly and willing to share ideas on books and much more. Have fun
  11. I know exactly what you mean Roxi. I added a poll and also, I'm glad you think this is a good thread as it's my first proper thread and poll. It was a hard decision as being the poll creator, they are all in there because I want to read them all. However, like Nightwish I voted Hogwarts: A History because I'd love to know the ins and outs of Hogwarts. Sounds really interesting. (Maybe I am a little too in-to Harry Potter atm; I am re-reading them all at the moment to be fair.)
  12. I was just wondering which book mentioned in the Harry Potter series you would most like to be released as a real book. I think this every time I read a book title in one of the Harry Potter books and just wanted to know what everyone else thinks. I definatly would like to read Hogwarts: A History or A History of Magic. If you vote other, please state which book you would like to read.
  13. I also think that J.K.Rowling should have given more description in PS when Harry is selecting Hedwig with Hagrid, especially as Hedwig is in all of the books and I imagine The Owl Emporeum to be similar to Olivanders, although obviously the wand is slightly more important than the owl.
  14. a nice idea for a BCF bookmark would be to send around a bookmark sized piece of card to all the regular users and get everyone to write a short message and there username on it.
  15. Hi there! Thanks for the welcome! I look forward to getting to know yourself and everyone else on the forums!

    :D

  16. I haven't read the follow up but I have read Holes at school and I thought it was brilliant. Looked forward to every lesson whilst we were reading that book. Haven't seen the film either and don't think I would like to either. I hate it when characters in film adaptions don't match the character in my imagination from the book. Thats the same reason I haven't yet seen the Eragon film and although I have the 'film version' of the book (it was a present), I still havent even looked at the pictures in the middle. This goes abit off topic and is more of an essay. Sorry!
  17. I've been watching it with my girlfriend and we both thought Jodi was in the right and Anthea Turner and Grant Bovey were both being a couple of idiots, to put it nicely! When he was trying to apologise she was being so childish by not accepting it especially as she insulted him as he walked past her.
  18. If you've lost your faith in love and music, the end won't be long. The Good Old Days - The Libertines
  19. ello
  20. Not for the first time, an argument had broken out over breakfast at Number four, Privet Drive. Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets - J.K.Rowling
  21. I'm sorry to say im a corner turner. My girlfriend bought me a really nice bookmark a while ago but I left it at my parents house when we moved in together. I really should get it back next time im round there. It's got a frog on the top. The girlfriend says I look a bit like a frog. Lovely isnt she. hehe
  22. I voted one. I've tried reading two at a time once before and found that although they were both very good books, I only focused on the one I preferred and didn't really get the most out of the other one. So now I only read one at a time.
  23. thanks for the welcomes and hello to everyone. look forward to becoming friends with fellow book lovers on the forum
  24. Twoflower is the tourist in the first two discworld books. He is also the original owner of the Luggage and he's really niave about everything. He wants to do everything Rincewind is worried about doing because he knows it will end in trouble. And yeah, Sourcery is the one with the Sourcerer kid who takes over Unseen University. I dunno what my favourite Pratchett book is though tbh.
  25. Yeah, I love Rincewind. Twoflower was a great character but I do love the Luggage. Have you read Sourcery. Rincewind and the Luggage are in it. I read that not so long ago for the first time and I thought it was brilliant.
