  1. Me too! It definitely picks up again. Let's keep our fingers crossed for book 10
  2. Which one is Dead to Worse again Frankie? The later books all kind of merge into one for me until Dead & Gone (book 9). Aren't you enjoying it?
  3. Hey Charm!

How's you? I've realised that I've missed your birthday! Eeeeek! :hbsign::5birthday::balloons::sign0072::party: Hopefully adding every birthday emoticon will make up for it! Did you have a good day?

I've been away from the forum for a few days sorting out my Boyfriend's birthday....feel like I need a week on a beach to recover :drama:

Anyway I thought I'd pop in to say hello! Hope you're well xx

  4. I've just caught a glance at my avatar while posting the last message. In a perfect world Julian Casablancas would be my Husband and we'd have lots of babies that all looked like him. Julian 1, Julian 2, Julian 3 and so on! Yes......I'm drooling on my keyboard as we speak!

(apologies for tainting your message board with sleaze! Hopefully you'll also admire the view... haa!)

  5. Frankie!! :D

How's everything with you? How's your Big Brother going? Hopefully no one's replicated the Kinga moment yet! Eeeek!

I've been away from the Forum for what seems like ages due to all the preparations for Ross' birthday. I've been making paperchains and strings of bunting by the dozen! Totally exhausted now (think my age is catching up with me! haa!!)

Anyway I thought I'd drop by to say hello :D Hope you're grand mrs! xx

  6. Hey Blackstar!

Sorry for the super late reply! It's been my Boyfriend's birthday so I've been full of busy recently....eeeek!

How are you settling in? Is your 'to be read' pile bigger than Mount Everest yet? Haa! xx

    Hey Mac!

Sorry it's taken so long to get back to you! It's been my boyfriend's birthday so I've been making decorations and banners etc for about a week! If I never see another paper chain it'll be too soon!! Haa!

All is well up here.....I'm off to Berlin on Monday so pretty excited about that! How about you? Been up to much? How's work going? Settling in?

I haven't been to your uncle's restaurants yet (desperately waiting for my student loan! eeek!!!)

  8. Same here. I recently read The Other Boleyn Girl & The Boleyn Inheritance by Philippa Gregory and became interested in Tudor history. I've since bought books about Anne Boleyn, Jane Boleyn and when I visited London recently I specifically sought out sights that were relevant to that era.....like the Beauchamp Tower where Anne spent her last days overlooking the green she would be beheaded on. I'm becoming quite a geek about it all considering I had absolutely no interest beforehand Also, since reading Interview With The Vampire, I really want to visit New Orleans
  9. I'm going to get started on Queen of the Damned by Anne Rice tomorrow I've been looking forward this for ages!
  10. Nicola

    Hello

    Welcome to the Forum Jessi!
  11. Nicola

    Greetings!

Welcome back Larry! I'm quickly approaching 30 too (although I'm considering counting backwards when I hit 29 or just going back to 21 again and beginning the counting process from there.....I'm undecided! ) Have fun!
  12. Granted....you have to be up at 3am instead. I wish I had my student loan already! There's shopping to be done.
  13. Euwwwwww that's horrible! Scratching in the night........!!!!! It's like the Birthing House by Christopher Ransom. It's always really weird when you see your local area on the news isn't it!
  14. Same here.....I'm interested in all things vampire so I read books and watch tv shows about them. However, this is pretty much where the parallel ends for me. I don't watch a lot of tv but apart from True Blood, everything else I watch tends to be documentary based. I love anything by Nick Broomfield, travel based or architecture/property based (Oooooh I also have a thing for romantic period dramas when I'm home alone.....but Sshhhhh! Don't tell anyone )
  15. I actually started to find Tara a bit annoying this series which surprised me as I really liked the banter between her and Lafayette in the first series. She was a favourite of mine. I think I started to dislike her when I liked her when she was a strong female character and just felt that this series she bacame one of those vulnerable victim types.....you know the type in horror movies that run upstairs instead of outside?! Why do they do that!!!?? I really liked Lafayette and
  16. I've finished Brisingr by Christopher Paolini and waiting patiently for the the last book in the series to be published.......hurry up Christopher!!
  17. I think I hid my face in embarrassment! Isn't funny how those sorts of scenes in the books are really well written and not embarrassing at all, yet the tv series has moments when you want to hide behind a cushion! I think that they'll follow the book
  18. I'm glad those days are behind me! (ish!)
  19. Bums bums everywhere!
  20. Started Brisingr today.....book three of the Inheritance Cycle. I've only read the first couple of chapters while on my lunch break but it's all good so far
  21. A Book of Spooks and Spectres by Ruth Manning Sanders sounds pretty cool I'm envious of you ScarletBella......so many great books! I love Hunter S Thompson!
  22. Oh I love this book! I also enjoyed The Vampire Lestat and recently bought Queen of the Damned which I've yet to read I finished Eldest by Christopher Paolini and will hopefully get my hands on Brisingr tomorrow I really enjoyed it!
  23. I'll never forget that scene in the cemetry amongst the dirt! His muddy bum!
  24. Still making progress with Eldest & hoping to get it finished tonight
  25. You only said what we were all thinking!
