  1. I've just finished Queen of the Damned by Anne Rice and I loved loved loved it! I'm thinking of carrying on with the Vampire Chronicles but will probably be juggling them with uni reading
  2. Well I never really realised the eye candy potential of Terry with Eric lurking but now you come to mention it, he does have a bit of something Maybe not as much as Eric but definitley more than Andy (Poor Andy! He's canny really!)
  3. I'm still reading Anne Rice's Queen of the Damned and I must say I'm completely hooked! I'm almost finished unfortunately then I'll have to start reading for University which isn't half as fun as Lestat's nightly wanderings
  4. I'm reading Queen of the Damned which jumps from character to character but currently I'm the Vampire Lestat and I've been kidnapped (ish) by the Queen of all Vampires. She not only wants me for her love interest, but has a few sinister plans for me up her sleeve.
  5. This made me laugh out loud! (My BF probably thinks I'm losing my marbles!)
  6. God imagine.....I never thought a person could overdose on eye candy but I think we may be put to the test! My holiday was really good but I'm nackered! Seemed like we walked 10 miles every day so I'm looking forward to a long sleep right now:sleeping-smiley-009 Thanks Peacefield! I don't think there were any other cliffhangers...........hmmmmmm nope. I can't think of any
  7. I've just got back from my holidays and I'm trying to catch up! You folks can really talk can't you! Think I'll have to catch up in shifts! Me too! Wonder who they'd cast as Alcide (the prospect of yet more eye candy.....deary me!) It's just the blinking fringe! I want nothing more that to take a pair of scissors to it. Bless Terry! He's so lovely isn't he
  8. I have my beady eye on it too
  9. I've just got back from my holidays (Booooooooooo!) and I'm halfway through Queen of the Damned which I haven't been able to put down. I scowled at anyone who dared to make a noise on the flight back home! Think I'm an unsociable reader:lurker: I'm loving reading about Lestat again.....he's such a charmer!
  10. Hey Blackstar!

Yeah he had a great time thanks. We've just got back from a weeks holiday to end it in style. I'm truely knackered now and need a long sleep! :sleeping-smiley-009

I used to forget the books I wanted to read too but then I started to use the notepad in the User CP and never forget anymore (think I need to delete a few to make space though! eeeeek!)

    Hope you're well xxx :D

  11. That's fab Frankie!! Happy viewing!
  12. Me too! I love the chairs scene in Vegas
  13.:lol: I saw a sunflower earlier! You have to admire the people who get dressed up eh :D
  14. I watched Knocked Up while doing the ironing yesterday
  15. Hey Inver!

It's lovely today! I feel sorry for all those runners in this heat! Haa!

Well the river runs parallel to the road that the main bulk of the runners are on, and I live overlooking the river so I keep catching glimpses of them through the trees. The Red Arrows have just been by and there are helicopters flying around......it's really strange seeing the local area on tv! :D

I hope you get some of this lovely weather today too :D

  16. I've just added this to my Amazon Wishlist The synopsis reminds me of Good Omens by Terry Pratchett & Neil Gaiman.
  17. I've started Queen of the Damned by Anne Rice and loving it so far I just love the character of Lestat and the way Anne Rice has him describe things....it's like honey. Also bought The Colour Purple by Alice Walker. I'm not sure when I'll get around to reading this but I loved the movie so I'm sure I'll pick it up at some point.
  18. Hey Gyre!!

I'm good. Just plodding along with the ironing hoping that I'll get everything we need for the holidays sorted in time.....eeeek! Watch me forget my passport or something!

How are you? Have you been keeping busy? :D x

  19. The Other Boleyn Girl is a great book Katrina
  20. Maybe she finally noticed the fringe Only kidding......ish. I wasn't expecting that ending! Oooooh can't wait for Season 3!
  21. Hope you enjoy it!
  22. I have a mental list too....books that are mentioned here or by friends. Also, if I see a good movie which is based on a book I'll usually end up reading the book too....such as Interview With The Vampire which I saw years ago and read recently. If I've just finished a certain genre I might look for similar books online and add those to the mental list/BCF Note pad. The list is always being added to so I never really run out of books to read.
  23. That sounds like a lot of reading Miss Frankie!
  24. Same here. Recent books that have made me investigate the topic further include: The Other Boleyn Girl & The Boleyn Inheritance by Phillipa Gregory which is about Tudor England and King Henry VIII's quest to find a wife that will give him an heir to the throne. The Vampire Lestat by Anne Rice which mentions Marie Antoinette, French Society in the 1700's and the French Revolution. I'd normally never research a topic like this of my own will :D
  25. Well the only crime books I tend to read are by Jeffrey Deaver and I can't remember reading anything by an English author. That's not because I'm against British crime thrillers, I just haven't got round to it yet
