  1. So, I have just finished watching Season 1 of Angel following the recommendations on here and I am hooked! I love the way that Cordeila develops as a character as well as the relationship that she forms with Angel. It ws so sad when I feel that they underplayed it a bit though as they didn't dwell on it for too long. The episode where I'm looking forward to season 2 which is winging it's way to my house from Amazon as I type.
  2. Yippee! Good choice The last episode of Angel season 1
  3. I think that the soundtrack is already out, I am thinking about buying it and we are only 3 episodes in!
  4. Well, I watched the whole series so I must have enjoyed it, although I am not desperately disappointed that there won't be a second series. The American accent wasn't particularly good and was a little unneccesary. I don't think that it really delved in to the Van Helsing myth. It was more about the main boy (I forget his name!) coming to terms with his new life.
  5. Well, we know that some people are definately dead with some people, their bodies wer enever find. My guess would be that they appear during flashbacks?
  6. I quite liked it, so it is a shame that they aren't doing a new series. I didn't really like the man boy or his annoying friend though!
  7. I think that I have already seen the first season. It was on ITV at the start of last year I think. Is it the one with Philip Glenister in it?
  8. I am thinking of giving up on my current read " A Sheltering Sky". I am avoiding reading as I don't want to read it as I am not enjoying it at all. I will probably try it again at a later date.
  9. Beans on toast.
  10. I have only read the Handmaid's Tale and I really enjoyed it. I have often thought about reading some more of her books, but for some reason, have never got around to it yet.
  11. Sopranos, season 5, episode 3.
  12. 11/15 - my maths let me down. I think that I am too impatient to think about it logically.
  13. I would definately recommend the Sookie Stackhouse novels if you enjoyed True Blood. The books are really good and you will find a lot of fans on here to discuss them with The Vampire Chronicles by Anne Rice are also worth a read, starting with Interview with a Vampire which is really good. Have you read I am Legend?
  14. You can share the book I got from my santa if you want??
  15. Welcome
  16. The book is much better than the film, although I did enjoy the film!
  17. I am currently reading the Sheltering Sky and I am realy struggling to get in to it.....I will keep going though as it has been recommended to me by a few people now.
  18. Welcome to the forum, I hope you enjoy it here.
  19. It definately sounds like something invented after 1 or 2 shandys
  20. On a crumpet?!!!! Think that I will have to take your word for it....!!
  21. Sounds...erm....interesting.....
  22. I have to take older books with me as they get a bit crumbled in my bag. I wouldn't want to crumple one of my favourites!
  23. I don't really care if a book is popular or not. If I like the look of it, I'll have a read. If not, I won't. Simple as!! However, it does slightly annoy me when other people kind of look down on me for reading a popular book. I don't think anyone should be made to feel bad for reading something that they enjoy.
