  1. I wached Big Stan last night which was okay (my b/f picked it). The added bonus to the film was that Jakson Rathbone was in it....!
  2. So, I was lying in bed this morning and I was seriously considering going for a run. (Well, when I say run I mean, jog, walk, walk, jog....) Anyhow, I looked out of the window and saw the snow. A nice excuse to get out of going for a run
  3. I want something that I can really get my teeth in to now that my mojo is (hopefully) back. For that reason, I am going to go with the Bell Jar I think. Alternatively, I will go with whichever book turns up first
  4. You will both love Angel Mac. I think that I like it more than Buffy which is something that I never thought I would hear myself saying...!
  5. I could spend so much on books, but I have to try and hold myself back! If there is a book that I particularly wanted to read, I check on a bookhopper.com, a free swapping website before I actually buy. I would probably say about
  6. I am pleased to report that I read this book in record time - fingers crossed that my reading is back on track!! Just got to decide what to read next.... I have two books arriving next week, The Bell Jar by Syvia Plath and Animal Farm by Orwell. Both books were recommended to me through discussions with a couple of people at work. Any thoughts on which I should try first?
  7. Having lost my mojo at the end of last year, I have only just finished my first book of 2010 despite starting and not finishing several! Men of the Otherworld - Kelley Armstrong From Amazon: I don't remember the first time I changed into a wolf. One night I passed out, and awoke to find my body covered in yellow fur. My brain was beyond reacting. It took this in its stride, as it had everything else in my new life. I got to my feet and went in search of food. As a curious and independent six-year-old, Clayton didn't resist the bite ? he asked for it. But as a lone child werewolf his life is under constant threat. So when enigmatic Pack member Jeremy Danvers saves him, Clayton is determined to protect his adoptive father, no matter what the cost. So begins this gripping collection of four tales chronicling the bloody feuds of the American Pack, and the coming of age of Clay Danvers, a very powerful ? and very singular ? werewolf. My thoughts: I really enjoyed this book. It is nice to learn a little more about both Jeremy and Clay (as well as other members of the pack). Although I didn't feel that the main story line was very indepth, I liked how we learnt about what makes each character the way they are in Bitten, the first book in the Women of the Otherworld Series. Mark 7/10
  8. I cannot wait for Season 3. It seems such a long time since my last Eric fix *sigh*
  9. I agree! I only started watching it further to your recommendation. I am almost at the end of season 5 now. It seems a lot more 'grown up' (for want of a better phrase) than Buffy. A bit darker too.
  10. I am sure you will lose it again in no time. I lost 3lbs this week which I am pleased with . Heading to the gym tonight and will have to work extra hard as I went out last night and had a *couple* of glasse of vino.....!

    Hello

Hi and welcome. You don't live too far away from me, I am in Leicester. I hope you enjoy the site as much as I do.
  12. I love Rebecca. Let me know what you think of it.

    Hiya!

    Hello and welcome.
  14. I am currently watching Season 4 or Angel so I just watched an episode of that.
  15. I felt like episode 3 was a bit of a filler episode as nothing really happened. The
  16. Good thread! Favourite live band/artist? Foo Fighters and Stereophonics without a doubt! Yeah Yeah Yeah's are also awesome live as are The Killers, Metallica, System of a Down, Subways, Jet and Eagles of Death Metal Band/artist you've seen live the most times? Foo Fighters and Stereophonics. I see them both everytime they tour. I am seeing the 'phonics again next month Band/artist you've not yet seen live but would love to? The Eagles, White Rabbits (thanks Peacefield for the recommendation), Incubus & Pearl Jam to name a few. Band/artist you never had the chance to see? So many! Beatles, The Doors and Nirvana would probably be the main ones. Worst live band/artist? This isn't probably going to go down very well, but the Red Hot Chili Peppers are by far the worst live act that I have seen They were boring and they didn't put any effort in at all. It looked like they didn't want to be there which isn't the best feeling for a fan when you have spent
  17. I had never watched Cape Fear until last night and I must admit that I was a little scared
  18. I still have some of mine, although I am trying to get rid of them as they are taking up so much space!! I really liked the Vampire ones too.
  19. Wow! That has just made my mouth water....
  20. White choccy for me - yum yum yum
  21. I know, still disappointed though I think I am too impatient, I want immediate results As for the special K diet, I don't think that I would like to eat the same thing twice a day as much as I love cereal. Having said that, I have just had some for lunch and it was yummy!
  22. I agree Kell, I thought about giving up with this book for that very reason. Stick with it though, it gets better.
  23. I am currently reading Men of the Otherworld by Kelley Armstrong and I am really enjoying it. It is nice to learn a bit more about Clayton and Jeremy.
  24. I didn't know that although it makes sense!
  25. I don't like it when an author uses the same description over and over again. For example, Meyer always uses "my favourite crooked smile" and "wolfy grin". It really starts to get annoying after 4 books!
