  1. What's going down in Groove Town today, Jessi? Plenty of fun, love and good times, eh?
  2. Mine scribes love poems and letters to me. I've told him that I didn't catch that particular bus, but he just won't listen! I may have to take out an injunction against him. It certainly worked with Cat Deeley. She practically never calls me.
  3. My cat absorbed Crime & Punishment last night. Literally. :)

I am in a terribly fractal state of mind this morning. I've been leaving bizarre comments on the Matlock Mercury website under the name Thorlby Sitwell to try and get a rise out of people. I wonder what's happening...

This time next week I will be a couple of hours into the Coast to Coast walk from St Bees to Robin Hood's Bay. Can't wait. Nearly two weeks of solitude, countryside and beer.

    Magic.

  5. God would say to me: "Ha ha ha! Good one! Now get on the floor and give me twenty, soldier!"
  6. You should explain the concept of cause and effect to him. Get him to write a 300 word essay on the subject to illustrate his understanding.

Shhh - do not reveal my secret identity to the world! I have loved ones to protect!

  8. I have a little viscous cat that oozes its way to and from its cat bowl.
  9. Mmmmm....Eva Green....

How did Tuesday go? Success? x

Morning, fella. Hope all's well with you. I have a day off! It's almost unheard of!

  11. 1: Ever since the introduction of Bogling into my life, I haven't been able to say "Fistful of Falafel" without spraying my guests with spittle. 2: My favourite reading chair has a mind of its own and has applied to be a contestant on Eggheads. 3:This one time, at Band Camp, I was acting so camp that I was banned. 4: Sausages that are poached for 25 minutes and then browned in an oven at 200C often cause me to smile - this improves their sense of humour. 5: I am constantly searching for an eddy in the space/time continuum so I can return to my life of crime in a distant system far, far away from here! Wha ha ha haaaarrrrrr!
  12. Hmmm...have you heard of The Last Witchfinder by James Morrow? This is a book I think you'll enjoy. It features a nice chunk of Early-American history as well as some of our own. It's well researched and a thumping good read, to boot! Hope things are well with you, Jessi.
  13. I love Calvin and Hobbes. I have half a shelf-full also. Hobbes is so cute when there's anyone other than just Calvin in the frame!

And I adore his Snow Sculptures!

  14. Mine, too, was Message in a Bottle by The Police
  15. Aha, but that's the joy of having a slow cooker! You sling it all in as one normally would, and then leave the thing alone for the day. Magic (it's smelling terrific already!).

I'm so glad you're feeling a little more chipper, Giulia. I'll admit to having felt a little worried for you of late. And thanks for the support-vibes re: this evening. You're a good'un.

    Enjoy your Saturday. x

  16. My mother and father were musicians when I was tiny, so was always carted around with them - I believe that whilst they were on stage, I was being looked after by Dancing Girls and I wish to God that I were able to remember all this...so I guess I was always at gigs. The first proper gig I went to was Simple Minds Street Fighting Years Tour in...erm...1988? 1989? I can't remember. Although, saying that, I'd been performing since before then anyway, so would the first gig I went to be one of mine???
  17. By the way, cool avatar!

  18. Would you like some peanuts? :D

  19. Bonjour, Genevieve. Nice to see you back on the forum, my friend. I hope you are well. x

  20. Giulia. Greetings. So, here is the weekend. I am about to leave the house to teach music to nice kids, so this is good. I've put a bolognaise together in the slow cooker for later (smells really good already!) when my actual father is coming round with wife number four. She's practically a biscuit older than me. He returned from self imposed exile in Greece a few weeks ago. This will be the first time he's been to my home since he left when I was five. I feel a little...erm...conflicted? I think he wants to build some bridges, which is fine with me, so we'll see how this goes, eh?

How are you doing, lovely lady? I think I'm coming down to London Village in a month or so, so we can go for that coffee and maybe point and laugh at other people?

Take care and have a lovely weekend. x

  21. I've popped onto your page and left a message.

  22. I've already suggested that we'd be perfect for each other, haven't I? Film: You know the chap that plays Sloth in The Goonies? TV: You know that chap that plays Sloth in The Goonies? No. Sorry. I'm being silly. Film:Jason Statham TV: Erm...The Stath in a 'straight-to-TV' video? He does quite a lot of those, too?
  23. I have discarded Narrow Dog to Carcassonne because it was making me lose my mojo, man! I've now started The Bodies Left Behind by Jeffrey Deaver and so far, so good. Huzzah.
