You know, Roxi, you really do come out with the most sage advice. I am somewhat in awe of you. This should definitely not be read in irony. I've just read your advice to poor old , love-lorn Ben, bless 'im. If only I'd had a friend like you back in the day. You simply wouldn't believe the complete arse I've made of myself in the past...
...actually, you probably would...

I am fine, thanks. Work is busy - no, life is busy - but ticking along nicely. I recently read a book of short stories by Jeffrey Deaver. I haven't read any of his stuff before, so this made a good introduction to him. It was called Twisted and every story had - you've guessed it - a twist. However, he's a very clever one, is Jeff, and the twists were mostly all surprises. Result!
As for Harlan Coben, I really enjoy the relationship between Myron and Win. It's almost a symbiotic kind of thing. Love 'em, I do.
What's going on in your world? I've applied for a new job (I've been headhunted!), and I'm hopeful I'll get it. We'll see pretty soon.
Hope you're very well.

Busy as a thing that's really busy, as usual, yes. I've applied for a new job, which would pay me the same salary, but with 5 hours less a week and with the school holidays to enjoy. This would be very good. It would give me more time to myself, which I don't get a lot of, currently.
I hope you're enjoying your pool-time and getting to read plenty of great books.

Hiya Sarah. It's been a while. Just popping by to see how you are. Hope all is good with you, chum. Toodles for now.

'Tis sunshine and chocolate up here, also. I realised my hair was receding when it started taking longer to wash my face.
I shaved all my hair off one drunken evening with my ex-wife (well, she wasn't my ex-wife at the time - in fact, we weren't even engaged!) back in 1997, so now I don't even know if I'm properly bald because I'm intentionally bald...
At least, that's what I tell people...Have a great day, friend.

Ahoy there! How's life in the East? I hope you're having plenty of fun!
Happy days.

Hiya Kate. Well, my GF is trying very hard to make things work, which is nice, but I'm finding things quite difficult on that front (I'm a bit messed up, currently!) but I'll sort myself out soon. I'm thinking of trying some Hypnotherapy again, 'cos it worked really well last time - it's just really expensive.
I'll finish my application for the job this weekend, so fingers crossed, eh! It could be another two years before I get into the police force, so I have to go for this job - I'm losing my mind where I am at the moment!
Are you planning any lovely trips away this year? I'm hoping to get down to Cornwall towards the end of the year. It gets really wild down there. Love it.
Have a great weekend.

I'm alright, thanks. I'm in the middle of applying for a new job - I was approached by the headteacher of a large Secondary school who suggested that he would like me to work for him. It's a mix of working with challenging kids, Duke of Edinburgh Award and performing arts - everything I do. Same money, less hours and school holidays! And a lunch hour! It's a no-brainer, really.
So, you have trouble sleeping regularly? I hope you slept better last night.

Evening, fella. Just popping in to see how you feel your exams have gone. I hope you're okay with how you've done. What's the plan for next year? Any ideas? I could do with a few myself!
I think I'm going to be moving jobs in September and starting work in a secondary school, working with the challenging students. Should be fun.
So. Hope all's well, chap, and you're enjoying a well earned break.
Cheers! Mac.
