  1. I'm not sure what the problem is Kylie It's been one of my "must read as soon as it comes out" books since I was sent a review of the first few chapters, the writing is great and it's definitely my sort of book but I just can't get my head to stay interested. I shall put it aside for a couple of weeks and try again, especially as my friend is loving it and already halfway through the 766 pages!

  3. My reading mojo has ground to a halt, I really want to love The Passage but I'm finding it hard going Am going to put it to one side and read fluff for a bit, obviously not in the right frame of mind just now. Currently reading - Impossible by Nancy Werlin Inspired by the ballad 'Scarborough Fair,' this riveting novel combines suspense, fantasy, and romance for an intensely page-turning and masterfully original tale. Lucy is seventeen when she discovers that the women of her family have been cursed through the generations, forced to attempt three seemingly impossible tasks or to fall into madness upon their first child's birth. But Lucy is the first girl who won't be alone as she tackles the list. She has her fiercely protective foster parents and her childhood friend Zach beside her. Do they have love and strength enough to overcome an age-old evil? Web Of Lies by Jennifer Estep (Book 2 of the Elemental Assassin series) Curiosity is definitely going to get me dead one of these days. Probably real soon. I'm Gin Blanco. You might know me as the Spider, the most feared assassin in the South. I'm retired now, but trouble still has a way of finding me. Like the other day when two punks tried to rob my popular barbecue joint, the Pork Pit. Then there was the barrage of gunfire on the restaurant. Only, for once, those kill shots weren't aimed at me. They were meant for Violet Fox. Ever since I agreed to help Violet and her grandfather protect their property from an evil coalmining tycoon, I'm beginning to wonder if I'm really retired. So is Detective Donovan Caine. The only honest cop in Ashland is having a real hard time reconciling his attraction to me with his Boy Scout mentality. And I can barely keep my hands off his sexy body. What can I say? I'm a Stone elemental with a little Ice magic thrown in, but my heart isn't made of solid rock. Luckily, Gin Blanco always gets her man . . . dead or alive.
  4. I am!!! It sounds awful but there are bits I can't remember clearly, probably because I think everyone was so hyped up to see it. Basically though, I just really want to see it again
  5. I can't go, we only got previews on Saturday & Sunday here in the UK - it doesn't officially open until Friday otherwise I would definitely have been again
  6. Yay Abby!!! I'll send you a link to the spoiler group so you can come tell us about it afterwards Only another 70 hours til I get to see it again
  7. It may well be that it's not the same experience for everyone, I have friends who have astigmatism and can watch 3D with no problems but my best friend & I can't, the only time she tried to watch a 3D film (Avatar) she had to leave after 10 minutes.
  8. That picture just makes me feel queasy - last 3D movie I went to I had to leave because I thought I would throw up in the cinema. Plus it's so awkward wearing 3D glasses when you already wear glasses in the first place Also, if you have astigmatism it can affect the way 3D pictures are received so I'm either way!
  9. Cloud Shadow On The Mountain - Wolf Parade
  10. Well, I loved it but then I love cooking and I used to read Julie Powell's blog all the way back when it first became famous! I'd say definitely worth watching
  11. Strangely enough, that little movie was the last thing I saw at the cinema too Last dvd I watched was Julie & Julia

Hi SandMan! Welcome to the forum
  13. One of my fave Killers songs This Is Your Life - Killers
  14. UK folks, don't forget that there are a couple of Twilight cast members on Alan Carr: Chatty Man tonight at 10pm (or 11pm on Ch 4 +1) - don't know who it is but it's probably some of the cast who could actually be bothered to come to the UK premiere on Thursday Oooh, it's Kellan, Xavier, Nikki and Ashley! Don't think they're quite sure what to make of Alan Carr, they all look a bit nervous
  15. I'll go set one up Done, look for Twilight films spoiler zone!!! Have sent invites out to help find it!
  16. I have so much to say but I just know I'll slip and spoil something! How about setting up a temporary Twilight Saga films spoiler zone social group where we can dissect to our hearts content??? That way, no-one gets "spoilered" until they've seen the film, what do you think? All I'll say for now is OMG and, apart from his hair, my boy Jackson was fabulous
  17. 2 hours & 28 minutes till we see it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So glad you enjoyed it Paula
