You ramble away hen, I'm glad I'm not the only one! That's the one clip I saw, I could have cried! I don't want to be a scary fan either but I think especially since Eclipse started filming, that Summit are really pushing Taylor Lautner as a huge star and therefore he must be more prominent in the films, making the decision between spending equal time with best friend & with boyfriend into some sort of lurid love triangle instead
-
I've been really good this time round but my pal Darcy has watched everything and read everything going. Apparently, in Eclipse (the film) they really do make it seem like Bella seriously considers breaking up with Edward and going to Jacob instead!!! We all know she doesn't do that, Eclipse is my favourite book as she finally sees her best friend for what he is - manipulative, moody and desperate! Jacob Black grinds my gears too, and seriously, if that's what Ms Rosenberg has done for the script for Eclipse I can't even think about the train wreck BD (parts 1 and 2!!!) are going to be, especially with the additional pressure that we get Bill Condon as the director!!!
-
The Eclipse score also comes out today/tomorrow Looking forward to getting that too - can't believe Amazon UK are still selling it at
-
Oooh, just got a dispatch notice from Amazon, my Eclipse movie companion is on its way! No looking at that before the weekend either
-
Oh, I know you won't but you can guarantee that folks on Facebook/Twitter etc. won't be so nice so I'll just stay away from everywhere to avoid temptation And I'm already getting annoyed with the trade reviews that are coming out! Especially ones that are saying Bella's kiss with Jake is far sexier than anything with Edward and how she was going to choose him, not Edward :motz:I really want to swear now And this why I'm self-imposing internet blackout If you could do what you did last time and put our minds at ease with whole Jacob thing though, that would be great - a lot of people are saying that the whole "triangle" is really prominent in Eclipse and ignores the whole Jake manipuation thing, makes it appear that Bella wants to be with Jacob but doesn't know how to let Edward go If that is the case I am dreading BD, they'll probably have Jacob stopping the wedding and then Edward kidnapping Bella and smuggling her out of the country to get her pregnant.....

Have you ever missed the message of a book?
Fi. replied to StephenKingman's topic in General Book Discussions
Same here! To this day I still don't understand why people rave about this book, the only reason I even managed to finish it was because I had to write a review for work Aside from Life Of Pi, I don't really "look" for messages in books, I primarily read for enjoyment and not to dissect a book to death wondering whether the use of one word over another means something earth-shattering! -
You can definitely watch the films without reading the books! Whether you'll enjoy them though will be down to personal taste, friends who have seen the films but not read the books think the films are okay but nothing special. Of course, what you have to remember is that with Eclipse this will be the furthest they've strayed from the book storyline and made into a more action-like film with a "definite" love triangle - unlike the book So my answer is watch the films if you're not expecting anything amazing and have no inention of reading the books but if you're going to read the books, do so before you watch the films Hope that helps!

5 days to go, 5 days to go, 5 days to go! Woo hoo I'll be offline/not anywhere near this thread/Facebook/Twitter from probably Wednesday, both to avoid any spoilers from them lucky things over the water and to travel to Yorkshire to stay with my best friend, we're having a party Friday night and watching Twilight & New Moon, along with Harry Potter 4 and Dread then heading to the cinema on Saturday at 1pm :)

Oh yes!!! This could be humiliating...

Yeah, I definitely think it's the hair Dead Weather are on Glasto after Muse, it's definitely an Eclipse artists weekend
-
Gil Birmingham is only 44, I thought he was older! I've always thought he was quite lovely
-
They certainly are taking advantage, they're having special screenings of Twilight & New Moon with rumors that certain Cullens/Wolf Pack members may appear! And no, that's not RP, KStew or Taylor - unsurprisingly Muse are taking to the stage around about 10pm apparently! Scissor Sisters are on a couple of hours before them, info from an old friend whose grandparents own the farm next to Michael Eavis and get free tickets in return for lending out a couple of fields Muse will now be on BBC2 at around 10.30pm, wish they'd make their mind up! It's a headline set though so more than just a couple of songs
-
I still have nightmares about the dress I wore to my older sister's wedding when I was 14 Not workin' the suit Oooh, Muse is the headline act at Glastonbury tonight and will be on BBC3 :D
-
There are some things that even our most beloved star can't make look good, that suit is definitely one It looked like it was a gorgeous suit especially as it was Gucci but completely the wrong colour! RP has the wrong skin tone to wear that maroon/burgundy colour, he might have got away with it just wearing the trousers with the colour away from his face but ultimately, no. Mr P, you got it wrong for once As for SMeyer, I'm sure she'll be regretting that dress for a very long time
-
It was awful! Who knows what she was thinking when she chose that dress! Been watching Glastonbury all night and it's been an evening of Eclipse soundtrack artists - Florence & The Machine, Vampire Weekend and Bombay Bicycle Club were all on earlier and the fabulous Black Keys are on just now
-
I preordered this as soon as I could and at the moment, expected delivery for both the hardback and trade paperback editions is actually August 2011 according to Amazon If you're waiting for the paperback it's an even longer wait - March 2012!!!
-
I think Anna Kendrick was the best dressed female cast member, Bryce Dallas Howard went dreadfully wrong with yellow (a big no-no with red hair!) and I think Julia Jones' dress was quite pretty too. Elizabeth Reaser's dress was definitely gorgeous, just not quite right or my taste Ashley looked like she was wearing a sheet and I didn't realize that Marchesa sold bird dresses until I saw Nikki Reed although she showed some taste by wearing a fab pair of Louboutins! All the men looked lovely, especially Jackson, PFach and Billy Burke Rob went horrifically wrong with a suit matching SMeyer's dress but still looked gorgeous if you ignored him below the neck Not going to mention Taycob (or whatever ridiculous nickname he has this week) because quite frankly I can't even remember what he was wearing
-
Kristen's dress was hideous! Most people were referring to it as SMeyer's idea of a wedding dress for BD There was a lot of comments about Elizabeth Reaser's dress being slightly inappropriate, apparently on one website there's links to pics where you see more of "Esme" than you ever wanted to!

Now watching Lewis - v. envious about Bombay Bicycle Club, my friend Dee is off to see them in a couple of weeks too!
-
Still watching Glastonbury on BBC3 - Hot Chip. Both Bombay Bicycle Club & Vampire Weekend played a little while ago, excellent start to Glastonbury this year Only 20 minute drive away from me, why aren't I there???
