It's fascinating and some of the stories are very moving. Ooh, I have to say, but every time I've visited America the TV is so hard to watch. Every five minutes, there's adverts. How do you put up with it? Hehe. Could travelling be classed as a hobby? To stay on topic . I would love to visit lots of countries, including Ireland, Egypt and Hawaii, hehe!
  2. Owww, sorry!! I grew up with beans on toast, roast dinners, fish 'n' chips night...you get the idea!

All I know is that I had the surname 'McCoy' in my family tree. I'm hoping that my great x7 (or something) grandfather was the founder of the crisps and I've got a big fortune sitting somewhere . Well, we can only wish, hehe.
  4. Thanks to both of you. I just checked it out and I like the sound of it. It's been added to my wishlist
  5. Oops, I didn't realise that there was another page with all you guys talking about it. My question has already been answered
  6. Haha, I'm very simple. When I think add flavour, I think ketchup
  7. Yep, I'm exactly the same!! I'm just not interested in buying it, I don't know why. Anyone who's read it, is it actually good?

Talking of family trees. Has anyone seen that show 'Who do you think you are?'. At least, I think that's what it's called. I would absolutely love to find that much out about my ancestors, it's so interesting.
  9. Ooh, I have actually heard a lot about that and I would love to read a good book with 'real' vampires. Less of the perfect Edward-ness for a while please. Hehe. Thanks for that, I'll check it out!
  10. I said that in another thread, I personally think the book and the film are on par with each other. Both fantastic! That's the only book I've read by him though. I would be interested in reading others but I'm not overly keen on horror books so I guess I should look elsewhere? Haha! Unless there is something else by him that you guys would recommend?
  11. Oh my gosh. To me that sounds awful: I don't like butter, or garlic, or parsley...or wine! Hehe . I also haven't tried...prawns. I'm not overly keen on sea food!
  12. I'd really like to get into a series on TV but I always find them hard to follow. The only one I liked was Friends and that finished years ago! But I have heard a lot of mixed opinions on Hollyoaks. Maybe I should try watching it.
  13. Nice description, hehe. Nope, I've never tried mussels either!
  14. I'm the opposite. If I'm loving/liking a book then I've peeked before. It's usually if I actually care about the outcome. I've also occasionally flicked to a random place in the book and glanced at the page. But I ruined a book once by finding out that a character I assumed to be dead, was still alive. So I try not to do that anymore! For anyone who's read New Moon: I flicked constantly with that, desperate to know what was going to happen. I always ruin surprises for myself, hehe.
  15. I've tried wine a few times and the taste just makes me flinch and gag. I hate to bring down the tone, but the only 'wine' I like is Cherry Lambrini!
  16. Haha, yeah, I suppose they do a bit. I've looked at crab and been scared off, so I don't think I could try that!
  17. You've never tried beans?! I thought literally everyone had tried/liked/loved beans on toast! Hehe, maybe not!
  18. Oh dear. I hate both. Good job I will avoid them at all costs then . I'm trying to think of something 'ordinary' that I haven't tried... Cheesecake seems very popular and I've never tried that?
  19. Ah my god! What are they like?
  20. Haha exactly. I love my food but I like all the bad, samey stuff. Like...pizza! I would never, ever try snails. Anyone who does is very brave!
  21. If I listed all the foods I haven't tried, it would be endless! I'm such a picky eater. I can't remember the last time I tried something 'new'. Hehe.
  22. I did hear he was a very intelligent, thoughtful man. I can understand why that would be hard to believe if you based your opinions on his image.
  23. From what I've been reading lately: P.S I love you. I'm assuming because it was turned into a film it must've been a bestseller or something? As I've mentioned before, I wasn't keen.
  24. I've read: Sharon Osbourne (Both Extreme and Survivor) Jack Osbourne That Pete guy from Big Brother Jordan (Never again!!) I think I've read others but I can't think of which ones. I would like to read one about an inspirational person. I'm fond of Michael J. Fox and would love to read his, would anyone recommend that?
  25. I have Wuthering Heights on my wishlist as from what I've heard, it's one of those books you should definitely read.
