  1. I thought The Tenth Circle was pretty good but The Pact is one of my favourites by her. Have you read Nineteen Minutes?
  2. I don't think it's classed as a classic but The Time Traveler's Wife. It's been recommended to me several times by males and females so I've got quite high expectations. I hope that it's as good as everyone makes out.
  3. Out of your list I'd have to say Cecelia Ahern. Other chick lit wise, I also like Adele Parks, Melissa Hill and Dorothy Koomson.
  4. Thank you, I was getting bored of the other one!
  5. I love the Irish accent! I'm terrible with accents though. It's not ignorance or anything, I just struggle to understand people with strong accents. I don't think I have one but then I guess I would think that? I'm from the Midlands (UK) so it's just blah. (Check out my new avatar )
  6. I liked the movie too, although it was awkward in some parts I thought it captured most of the characters pretty well. I would definitely recommend The Host. It's very slow to begin but once you get into it, it's very good :)

  7. Hey! I love you already! Love your name and your avatars :D. I'm a little bit obsessed with Twilight, hehe.

I read on a thread that you were looking for suggestions for reading after Twilight? When I finished them I bought The Host too and I enjoyed that one as well. :D Other ones I found were:

-The Otherworld Series by Kelley Armstrong

    - Sookie Stackhouse by Charlaine Harris.

-Black Dagger Brotherhood by J. R. Ward.

-The Little Goddess Books by Amy Lane. (Apparently v.similar to Twilight)

-The Vampire Diaries by L. J. Smith.

Hope this gives you some idea :). Welcome to the forum!

  8. I never read more than one book at a time.
  9. Ok..I meant guessed* and have tripled**. Typo!!

  10. Hey! Thank you. And yep, you guess it, I love purple :). Ha, getting lots of ideas?! My TBR pile and wishlist and tripled since I joined this forum. I can't complain though, I'm loving it.

  11. Haha, tell me about it! It's all I eat!
  12. That's what I love about Jodi Picoult though. Each book is focused around a completely different topic. So two people can be fans of her yet like completely different ones. A few were very forgettable for me though; like Keeping Faith. I can't actually remember that one at all! As for The Host, you should have bought it! Hehe, it's very good.

  13. Waffles and chicken burgers. Ha, what a student dinner!
  14. Hehe :) I know the feeling! Did you like the movie? And have you read The Host by her? x

  15. Hey! I'm pretty sure I've read all of Ceceila Ahern's books too. For some reason, I never finished PS. I love you. I just gave up on it! I think I might try and give it another go though seeing as everyone else seems to like it! I've read all Dorothy Koomson's and I can't wait for her to bring out another one, I love her style. My Best Friend's Girl was my favourite. The others were also great reads but not to the same standard as that one. As for Jodi Picoult, I've read... *goes and counts* eight of hers and my favourites were The Pact and Nineteen Minutes, have you read those? I thought Salem Falls was pretty good also. To be honest, I didn't see what all the fuss was about with My Sister's Keeper...I can hardly remember it! I have read The Host and I would definitley recommened it! You should give it a go :). It's obviously different to Twilight but I did cry at one point, so I did become quite attached to it. It's very slow to begin though!

  16. Yay Four out of my top five were on there!
  17. This was on my wishlist for so long and I bought it recently. I'm glad you enjoyed it, gives me more incentive to bump it up my TBR pile!
  18. I am a little worried. I don't think I've ever read a horror book before. I suppose Stephen King is the place to start.
  19. Hardly anyone seems to mention this one by her. I've also read it, quite forgettable I thought.
  20. That's a good point. You can't really criticise a book unless you've read the whole thing!
  21. I would like to read Great Expectations. *Thinks about adding to wishlist*
  22. I am looking forward to buying that one. I tried to get it in my local Waterstone's the other day but they didnt have it . I hate it when that happens! Hehe, my boyfriend has made me promise to read 10 books before he said he'll buy me five more! Great deal I think..
  23. Hehe: Salem's Lot. A Certain Slant Of Light. Wuthering Heights. From your recommendations!
  24. Haha . I decided to *try* and read a few classics myself this year and because of Roxi, Wuthering Heights will be the first that I attempt.
  25. I'd only try it if someone paid me! I do like bacon but can't imagine that being any good! I want chocolate ice cream now
