  1. :D Yep! Another one of your recommendations. What are you doing to my bank account?! :tong: I'm going to read that after The Time Traveler's Wife. If I ever finish the one I'm on at the minute.
  2. I've also read All Because Of You by Melissa Hill and although it wasn't better than The Last To Know, it was still pretty good. Yeah, someone just told me that Never Say Never does have a few twists and turns in it. I'm just waiting for them to be revealed! I'll let you know what I think! As for Testimony, when and if you do get it, I hope you enjoy it This make me all excited to read them! Can't wait
  3. I knew there would be! That's the problem though. When you know there is gonna be a twist. You spend your time wondering what that is! Just waiting for it to be revealed.
  4. Oh right, I'm looking forward to it! No, I haven't seen the movie but I saw the advert and it looks pretty good. I didn't realise it was a short story until I spotted it in Waterstones.
  5. Have you read The Curious Case Of Benjamin Button? Sorry if you've already mentioned it, I've not read all of the posts. I've got it on my TBR.
  6. Ha, what a great start! 'Man Plans - God Laughs.' -Never Say Never by Melissa Hill
  7. Ha, well, no. Kinda goes without saying, doesn't it? I did hear that we taste like pork though! I have no idea where I heard that or even if it's true!
  8. I love curry.
  9. I do think you have a very good point. And to be honest, I think most people are perhaps swept away by the fairytale aspect of the books and fail to recognize the way in which Bella is being portayed. EDIT - Sorry Gyre, I think we both began to post at the same time! I agree with you also. It would probably have a bigger influence on the younger teenagers of say 12-14.
  10. I just realised that I didn't have dinner. I had a really late lunch and then ate too many crisps afterwards. No wonder I'm so hungry!!
  11. I'm assuming that was just in Bella's nature. Because the female character in The Host is nothing like that.
  12. Hey hope you don't mind me posting on your shelf! I have all those three on my TBR pile and I'm looking forward to reading all of them. Especially The Time Traveler's Wife which I think will be next up for me! I read The Last To Know and enjoyed it as But I'm reading Never Say Never by her at the moment and it's nothing special so far. And I'm on Page 203! I read Testimony by Anita Shreve and thought it was very good. Just in case you were a fan of hers and hadn't read it, thought I'd recommend
  13. Urgh. Don't you just hate it when people say 'I'll wait for the film to come out'. The movies can rarely, if ever, live up the books. I hope my nieces and nephews read. I already buy them books and they're all younger than five.
  14. I think I just thought it was all too convenient. However, I do think it was dealt with quite well.
  15. Hehe . It must've been a different issue with me then. I think it's just because Jacob irritates the hell out of me.
  16. Yeah. I remember reading an interview with Stephenie and she said that people should read New Moon twice. She said the first time, people rush it because they . She thinks that the second time, we'll take our time and appreciate it a bit more. I still rushed that one.
  17. Some people seem to find reading boring. That thought is mind baffling to me. You get to escape to another world and can live a completely different life through a fictional character (albeit in our minds but still ). How could that ever be boring? I'm 19 and I (obviously) love reading. I do think it is less common in my generation though. It's a shame because people who refuse to read are missing out on so much!
  18. I read the whole series really quickly too. I read it again about a month later and took my time . Still didn't make New Moon any better though.
  19. I know this is really late but...welcome to the forum! I think we already spoke about accents and Florida
  20. I'm contemplating giving up on my current read. It's Never Say Never by Melissa Hill. At the moment it's very average and I don't care enough about any of the characters to wonder what will happen. Although, from experience, Melissa Hill usually throws in a huge twist of some sort. So, I think I'm getting antsy because I'm waiting for that!
  21. Ditto! I didn't even have a wishlist before this forum. Now I've got 31 books I'm desperate to buy. I don't use Amazon though. I buy from Play.com!
  22. I always loved the one with the gorilla playing the drums
  23. I haven't read any either. But The Outcast is on my TBR.
  24. That one would!
