  1. I love ham and coleslaw sandwiches! We had homemade burgers which were yum
  2. Oh I'm sure I will, even my OH likes it, which is strange. The only thing is, he keeps asking me what's gonna happen and wouldn't give up guessing who the murderer was right up until the very last in the series!
  3. Cool. It's strange because in the books we only see the things that happen to Sookie and hear about the other things after the fact, as her, we don't see things as they happen to other characters we only hear about it afterwards. But in the show obviously its able to give us first hand accounts of whats happening to everyone. God I hope that made sense
  4. She remembered this, but how could she trust him? ?How could she even trust her own memory after all this time? She asked, 'What about my mother? You said he killed my mother.' Skin Privilege ~by~ Karin Slaughter
  5. Jason is hilarious! He's very niave and easily led, my OH thinks he the best one in the show. He gets even funnier too! I'm looking forward so season two as well, is it based on the second book?
  6. Great challenge Chimera and an excellent start, I hope you really enjoy doing this I haven't read the Grimm's version of Snow White, I've just seen the Disney version which I adored I do remember my older brother buying me a huge volume of Tales of the Brothers Grimm many many years ago when I was little and I recall how some of the pictures were quite frightening, I would love to see it now though .
  7. I made Chilli Con Carne at the weekend and had some left over, so tonight we had Chilli Enchilladas with chips
  8. Wow this sounds interesting! A whole new take on vampires? Can't wait to hear your thoughts on this
  9. Just the two of us loving it in this house, myself and Kookie, although I think I've persuaded a friend of mine to give them a go, she's not a paperback fan and is trying to get them all in hardback.
  10. I felt the same about The Empty Chair but ended up loving it! Some of his books can be a bit like that but always turn out great. I will persevere though, I want to get through all the Lincoln Rhyme books

  13. Oh no! That's terrible! I'm not surprised your crying, I'd be bawling my eyes out! I started The Stone Monkey last week and only managed a couple of chapters, just didn't grab me, but I may give it another go if you say it was as good as Jeffrey usually is ... well how far you got anyway
  14. Thanks Lexie, I've read The Bone Garden and thought it was really good, I loved the switch between the two different times. I still think her Isles/Rizolli series was her best so far. thank you! I've been wrecking my brain trying to think who it was he played! I don't watch it now so I don't know any of them. Hey Mac, I'm good thanks fer askin I would start with The Surgeon, its the beginning of a fantastic series. It carries on with The Apprentice, The Sinner and several more. They are all great reads

  22. I think Blindsighted was one of my favourites too, the start of a great series. Not usual for the first of a series to be one of my favourites, I usually like it when the characters are more developed, but this one was great.
