I finished reading The Coffin Dancer a couple of days ago & whilst I had read it before, I hadn't remembered enough of it to have my re-reading it ruined by previous knowledge. A thoroughly enjoyed read & a deserved 9/10!

For me, personally (& I say this because I do not know anyone else who felt this way), I felt that 100 Years of Solitude by Gabriel Garcia Marquez was 100% over-rated! It was confusing, nonsensical & a total waste of the 6 or 7 days it took me to read it.

Hmmm, I think yesterdays was much nicer. The one they did for St.David's Day was lovely but it doesn't seem to be on that site with the others.........

When are y'all planning on reading The Sleeping Doll? I have it on my pile, too. I want to read it relatively soon as it is the "prequel", if you will, to his next novel, which picks up exactly where this one leaves off.

Hello! Sorry to hear you were bored at work today! My day was lovely, thanks! I spent the entire day with a friend & her 5 month old baby daughter. We walked around Ikea, then had lunch there, then went for a walk around a local lake, in the spectacular sunshine.
Did your day get less boring?

That's ok, Melisa, butt away! I finished The Coffin Dancer about 1/2 hour ago. Brilliant book! I started to remember some of the stuff that happens about 1/2 way through reading it, but still didn't get one of the twists before it happened. Did figure out that last twist, but only because of my niggling suspicions that someone/something was not right. (don't want to give anything away to those still reading it!)

Wow! Congratulations! That's brilliant news! I've been good, thanks. Haven't been up to much, really. Have finished at work, thought I am still technically employed by them for the next 3 weeks, but they have put me on Garden Leave, so I get to sit home & get paid for it!

Have either of you read A Bend in the Road by Nicholas Sparks? I read it the other week & thougt it was a really good (if somewhat predictable) read. I would definately recommend it!

Sounds good, Janet! I love Poe. We read a lot of Poe in school & my favourite by him has to be The Telltale Heart. -
Sounds yummy Sara! My OH & I are trying to eat a lot healthier, so I have been making a lot of vegetable packed stews which tend to last us 3-4 days. They're great & have no salt, no unnatural ingredients & are packed full of goodness, so we're very happy to be eating them! Yesterday I finished off making a chicken stew, & some homemade muesli bread, so that will be dinner for the next few nights.

I'm 254 pages into the Coffin Dancer & even though I know I have read it already, & vaguely remember what is going to happen, I am enjoying it nonetheless.

Yeah, I agree Laura. I think they were deliberately trying to wind Simon up, but by doing that it really made the show look ridiculous.
