lol I see! Each to their own:)

The TBR pile is not a list it is just the books I own that are on my bookshelf, unread.
-
Yes TBR stands for To Be Read, I have a bit of a book acquiring habit. And I don't blame you for just keeping a list of the books you read. Happy revision!
-
Well, I doubt I'll be reading as many books upto late May, unless that includes revision books! However, I've still decided to create a topic which I will keep updated with books I've read so far in this year.
Good luck with your revision! What subjects will you be revising for?
-
Go ahead and rant lol! I do challenges purely because it gets me reading things on my TBR pile andd gets me moving away from my safe and normal reading choices. The challenges I chose are books I want to read anyway so it feels a little like cheating

lol it was!

Didn't even manage to get to bed to finish, just finished it now on the sofa!
-
In bed tonight I will be finishing Vanish by Tess Gerritsen, really enjoyed it annd haven't been able to put it down!
-
Do you think his techniques will/do work? It seems too good to be true but I'd like to think it does work.
I hope it does! Some of it people could argue is just common sense but the way he puts it across it makes it seem very simple. I got it after watching the series shown on living TV or one of those channels and it seemed very7 successful on there.

Have now finished the Paul McKenna- a nice quick read!
-
Last night I finished Agatha Raisin and the Vicious Vet. I then started reading Paul McKenna 'I can make you thin' because I was intrigued by it!

Michelle that is something that I was wondering myself, why it unsettled me. I have never really had this before with other books so perhaps it is just this one. Mind you something is flickering in my brain about a book I have read in the past that was quite ambiguous about time but cannot remember what it was!
I would be interested to hear what others say about this.

I love scrapbooking. I have tried things like cross stitch but although I enjoy it I have never finished a project!
-
I am so jealous! It is my birthday this month but my OH has already got me my present so I can't drop subtle hints!
-
I have read a few and really enjoyed them but I have completely lost track of which ones I have read and even reading the blurb on the back doesn't help! Maybe that doesn't say much for the books!
-
I also never considered the era, there was nothing really modern in it, but I did feel it was set quite recently, with Margaret being a rather sheltered, old-fashioned person.
I enjoyed it too but as others have said found it difficult to settle into it because of the issues of time.

*cracks up* I just steered clear (with some effort) from the "shelfari' thread... cause two new internet libraries in a day might be too much
Oh my goodness!!

Hello and welcome!

8/10
Then I read the one I've read every Christmas for the past 30 years
A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens ~
An excellent seasonal literary piece of which I never tire. To it I raise an enormous glass of stinking bishop.
Read this for the first time last month and ended up enjoying it (wasn't too sure to start with!)

Cell: I agree with the end being quite anticlimactic (the "main "fight" being less than expected) and most of all the whole idea of reverse pulse didn't stood well with me. What I did like though was that we are not told the ending of the experiment Clayton did with his son so it was a cool ending even for non-believers like me
I am not remembering much of this, might have to skim through again!

A Midsummer Night's Dream was the first book i studied at school and then i did Macbeth.
Ah I did Macbeth as well, had forgotten that!

I think I might have signed up for this ages ago but please stop saying it is great or that's another place I spend hours:)

I have now finished The Garden of Empress Cassia by Gabriella Wang. This book I am reading with the children in my class and they seem to be really enjoying it.
