Hello!!

John Lewis are doing the Sony reader in a rather lovely shade of red but it comes with a hefty

Ooh good question! I would say yes it is better than the first one although I thought that was really good as well!

I have devoured another book over the last few days, Too Close to Home by Linwood Barclay. Started it on saturday night and finished it this morning, a gripping read with some lovely twists and turns. Highly recommended to all!
-
Excellent! I was only disappointed because I have a weird liking of end of the world type novels and it left me unsatisfied lol!
-
I have read a few King books but mostly loved The Stand and the Gunglinger series although I still haven't managed to read the final book in the series- I get a few chapters in and then stall
-
It was my first King novel, so I wasn't sure what to expect..
I wouldn't base your opinion of King on this book.
I read Cell last year or the year before and was disappointed, especially by the end.

What did you think about Mr. Whicher? I really expected to enjoy it, but didn't.
I couldn't get into it at all and put it down after a few chapters so haven't finished it yet!
-
Recently have started The Suspicions of Mr Whicher but after a few days put it down and have devoured The Island by Victoria Hislop which I finished about ten minutes ago.

I always wanted something invented that meant I could read in the shower!

I promised myself that I wouldn't buy many books this year. I've got a TBR pile as high as Everest. So here we are nearly at the end of February and I have bought 15 this year already I mean, there's a credit crunch on for goodness sake.
My main problem is reading about so many good books on this forum - I can't stop checking them out and buying them. Is there a cure for my addiction??????:irked:
Nope. lol. I am the same though however I have tried to hit the charity shops and Bookmooch more. The trouble is between here and LibraryThing there are too many books around. My local library is not very good unfortunately so I have to rely on other means lol!

I am sure I have seen these lately but cannot for the life of me remember where.

So that's

These are good so far, I haven't been inspired yet though for my own photo! I will keep thinking:)

Which is why you shouldn't be worried about seeing it The Library Nook... So long as you're not ooking for a mirror interpretation of the book you should love it
Thanks Chimera I will take Mr Nook to see it this week then, keep hearing so many good things!

Oops forgot to update this. The other day I finished How to Talk to a Widower by Jonathan Tropper, excellent book and made me give Mr LibraryNook a huge hug.

Lastly, sometimes i'll go for random wanders to a forest or field or something and just sit and read for a while, it's peaceful and cool to be alone with your thoughts like that.
Sounds heavenly, being half term I might just do that this week if the weather is nice.

No I think he is more a non fiction writer, cannot remember his name now for the life of me!
-
I bought this a week or two ago and for the record have had no problems so far with the pages. However I haven't read it yet but it will probably be my next read.
-
I read the book ages ago and really enjoyed it. Haven't sen the film yet so cannot comment on that.
ditto and think after reading posts on here I won't make a special effort to see the film. I enjoyed the book and wouldn't want that ruined! I will wait a while to see the film and by then should have forgotten the main details of the book!

I work in a school, so we usually mark the day by having people in to read/tell stories, and often we make a class book of some kind. It`s usually a fun day and the children, who are all special needs, all get something out of it.
I am a teacher but we are having our WBD celebrations a week or so later as we have a special guest coming in to do workshops with the kids!

Have finished The House of the Spirits by Isabel Allende. Not sure what I am going for next.
It took me ages to get into (about a week) but last night and today I devoured most of the book in one sitting. I think I had to get used to her style.

I have changed my name BC to bookwormteacher, feel free to add me as a friend:)

Well, at the moment I do, but that is only because I was really bad the other day! I suppose I should amend that to "am I the only person on this forum who doesn't normally have a TBR pile? Normally, no, I don't. I got into the habit of only buying 1 book at a time & not buying anything else until that book was read. It originally came as a necessity about 7 years ago & is something I have just carried on doing.
You are so good! As you can tell I am not so good:)
Just popping in to say hello
