  2. Oh yeah, well I BUY 6 books a week Just kidding; Mad props to this lady. Libraries are wonderful places and I'm glad to know there is someone out there who still takes advantage of them.

    Hobbies

OMG! YES, YES, YES! I am a die hard Habs fan! They are life to me. I am already getting excited for the season to start, and there is still another two months to go. Its nice to see another fan and especially one that knows the French nickname! Ole Ole Ole Ole OLEEEEEEEEEEEE! GO HABS!
  4. LOL, most likely. Good run tho.
  5. OMG, I was addicted to these books. They deserve credit for me getting into reading. My Dad use to buy them for me. He would come home from work sometimes and have a new Goosebumps book for me. My Mom didn't approve, but my Dad said as long as he is reading it can't hurt. I watched the shows, the whole nine yards. Brings back great memories Ghost Beach was my favorite, I love the cover!
  6. The local paper here publishes a true crime story every Sunday. It just reminds me how many sick people there are.
  7. I have not read any of those yet, but I'm hearing good things about Brooklyn.
  8. This reminds me of something funny: Thank God we don't have real library detectives
  9. That sounds like a really interesting novel. Keep us posted on it.
  10. I'm noticing that almost every bookshelf in this thread has a Stephen King novel on it. Popular guy
  11. I had Asian noodles with fresh vegetables and shrimp

    Hello!

    Welcome! Enjoy your stay
  13. Welcome! I hope you enjoy it here
  14. They are making more movies! Good God make it STOP!
  15. LOL, I can totally relate to this
  16. I'm reading a Cormac McCarthy book right now. In my opinion he has to be the greatest living writer, but the guy pays no attention to grammar. He uses the word "and" very often. He writes without commas and uses long sentences. If the character is uneducated, he writes that way. I really find his style unique.

    Tea

Thanks for the suggestions. Twinings teas are all over the place here. At one shop there is a wall full of them. I always get so confused. I like the t-mails joke too! I have tried Lemon and Ginger, which packs a punch. I think Lucybird mentioned this one a page back. I always drink my tea plain. I never put anything in it. I even drink my coffee plain. No milk, no cream, no sugar. Just give it to me straight!
  18. I tried having an afternoon nap, but there is an airshow this weekend and I live across from the airport. Fighter jets kept flying over the house and they were so loud and kept shaking the walls. Thank God the show ended today! It has been going on all weekend
  19. I fell in love with reading on my own. My mom was always telling my sister and I to go read instead of watching TV or playing games. One day I took her advice and I really got into books. I would go the library and take books out. When I got older I enjoyed my English and Social Studies classes and read lots of books through school reading. Now I am able to buy books and I find it to be an escape from the chaos that is my life
  20. Great start! I remember watching that movie when I was little on something called a VHS tape. . .crazy! Keep 'em coming. I like this challenge.
  21. I really apologize. Now that you have brought this thread up I looked back and discovered I had posted in it two years ago. I'm still trying to get settled back in here
  22. My local book store also happens to be of the big chain variety (Chapters Inc). I'm always amazed at how many sections there are. Luckily for me they have computers to assist in your search. If they have it in stock then they normally tell you which section it is in. I once went to a bookstore in Edmonton (large Canadian city of about one million people), and they handed out maps so you could find the section you were looking for. That was ridiculous. It was a bit too big for me.
  23. I love tea. I normally drink a few cups a day. I find it can be invigorating in the morning and relaxing at night. I normally drink green tea through the day and then at night switch to peppermint or chamomile. I love discovering new teas. Any suggestions? What tea do you drink?
  24. I did a search for this and nothing came up, so my apologies if I missed the thread. So anyway, Where do you guys read? Do you have a special room? Favorite comfy chair? In Bed? On a plane, train, automobile? Do you guys sip tea or coffee? Light candles or a fire? Bring along a blanket? Its been really hot lately, so I have been reading outside on the deck. However, this is Canada and normally I read on the couch in front of the fire or in my bed before I fall asleep.
  25. I love the first picture. I love how it goes around and the brick wall is awesome.
