  1. Yeah, that's a great one poppshake , with just the hint if cheesie-ness about it too
  2. Aww, what a disappointment when you have enjoyed reading so far, then have a very floppy ending .
  3. Oooh, I do hope you love this one Kylie , as I loved this one, (and Dtr did a wonderful review of this one, very poetic) and Flavia is such a great character. Plus, if you do this one, then are 7 more in the series already to look forward to as well .
  4. The Mangle Street Murders is great! I'm only 20% away through, but it's gripping already. Happy reading for 2015!
  5. It's rather good, isn't it?! . Then James Martin a bit later on....
  6. Hope you have a good year of reading - and To Kill a Mockingbird is such a wonderful book to start with - an absolute classic .
  7. I'm so glad that you loved this one , as I'm really looking forward to reading it soon. And there are 8 in the Flavia series (so far) .
  8. Nice review of Exchange, Athena . That one is on my wish list at the library now, and there are more Paul Magrs novels has a there too, so I will try to have a browse of them, next time I'm at the library.
  9. WOO HOO !! It's so good to be with so many kindred spirits as here. I thought I was the only person in the world who feels like this about books before I stumbled across this forum. (Actually, it was my local library who had a list of book related websites, and that's how I came across with you guys.) Good old library staff
  10. Excellent choice . The Humans is a really great one. Very witty, and with so many pithy comments on human foibles. I've started The Rosie Project now, and the two books are similar, with the narrator's frames of mind. Happy reading with The Humans!
  11. . How is it that most people find that we are odd, to have an emergency reading matter with us AT ALL THE TIME? It is essential for life ! .
  12. A great idea, less hassle and angst, just read for enjoyment. Good reading this year Julie .
  13. Wise choices!! We should love to read books (or is it "we should read to love books?, this one is making my head spin ) and not to too stressed about the TBR list. Happy reading in 2015
  14. At the moment, I think my tree book TBR is okay, since I had to pare that mountain to almost 1/2 a few years ago. As Willoyd said, I have to admit that I have more tree books to read in the remaining years of my life (50 this year, and my families never have long lives) that I will never manage to read all of the one's i already have.As long as the tree book mount does't get any bigger (managed to restrain myself last year.) I'm pragmatic, that I will always be tempted to buy more books. My ebook's virtual mound gets bigger, but it doesn't really exist in a physical state, so that doesn't bother me at all.
  15. I hope you have great time in 2015 poppyshake . You have a great TBR mound there, and it reminded that I still have Gabriel Garcia Marquez's Leaf Storm and The Autumn of the Patriarch in my list too . Happy reading!
  16. Lovely books there Devi! Happy reading for 2015
  17. Hope that book is good, another one on my TBR list. Your reading mojo must be poorly at the mo . Not even H.H. to get your motivation going !
  18. Bought The Miniaturist e-book today too! Hope you enjoy that one poppyshake
  19. It’s good to hear that other people find Coelho’s writing is ….well, pretty much rubbish. I thought it was just me
  20. Hope you have good reading in 2015..... with anarchistic minimalism
  21. Ooooh, I remember watching North and South, it was an epic .
  22. Me too! . I was hooked after the first one, and have now got the second of the Flavia de Luce series.
  23. Good reading for 2015 Melodious . The Grapes of Wrath and The Remains of the Day are absolute cracking good books!
