  2. Welcome and I hope that you find lots of new books to read. I have to say that I have never heard of Vonnegut before. But after looking him up on Google I can suggest a few authors that might be worth looking at if what you are looking for is outlandish humor and just a lot of craziness :)

Piers Anthony - The Xanth series

Terry Pratchett - The Discworld series

Terry Brooks - The Landover books

Fritz Leiber - The Lankhmar books

I hope that these are close enough to what you are looking for.

P.S you can read the Discworld books in any order so just go with the first one you want to read :)

  3. Ok a quote :)

"Don't say such things, even in jest! No, this is the imitation. But such an imitation! The gold is genuine. The stones are not glass, they are modern synthetics. You have no doubt heard of these imitation rubies, emeralds, sapphires? Some are such excellent copies that only the most sophisticated equipment can tell they are not real. And the workmanship is..."

  4. Ah! I loved all of the Earthsea books, they have such a great message to them about excepting yourself, the good and the bad :)

  7. It could be a funny joke though...Recipe for Christmas cake:

    Flour

    Fruit

    Eggs

    Pigs ear, dried lol :D

I looked up your book and I have to say that it is just not my cuppa tea but I am glad that you are injoying it! It's not easy finding books to read always.

You should see if you island has a cave...moving into my cave has solved all tent/rain/wind problems :D

I think I will go and make myself a cup of tea...

  8. If only we really DID have this island to escape to now and again eh? I would take very regular holidays there, I know that for a fact.

Yes, nights getting colder, so everyone wrap up warm, I need

all the ingredients to make a Christmas cake ,

    a small bottle of brandy,

a pack of dried pigs ears [for the dogs, good for their teeth!]If you don't know what I mean, you will think this very bizarre!

Well if the pigs ear wasn't for your dogs it sertainly would have explained why I don't like Christmas cake, I have been blaming the innocent raisins for years and all the while the it was the pigs ear! :P :p :P lol

Have you tried giving your dogs dried hoofs? I don't know about the uk but here you can get cow hoofs that are cleaned and dried for your dogs.

  9. lol! I think I will stay until after Christmas it isn't to cold here and I don't mind a little bit of rain :) My cave house is all set up for the winter and me and my cat are going to be snug as a bug in a rug! I just think I need a few more things though like :

    A tool box (with tools)

    Warm clothing

And a few pots and cook ware
