He's got something to work on there, but it's still early enough to fix any problems.  Your goalscoring seems promising.

We completed our friendlies last week, making it 6 wins from 7. Our first game is at home to last season's runners-up on Saturday.  We start as title favourites - yikes!

Six goals in two games - nice! Some more work needed in defence though. We had a similar issue a few years ago and tried throwing everything we had at our opponents' defence. We worked on the premise that we were going to concede many goals no matter what, so we might as well just attack. It helped us to beat the champions 6-4 in our first Premier Division season!

We had an excellent start to the season yesterday with a fantastic 4-0 win over last season's runners-up!  Our despicable local rivals threw a spanner in the works though by losing 5-0 to the champions.  We'll have to make do with 2nd place for the moment.

They need to keep plugging away Inver.  Disappointing results bring more opportunities for experimentation and then they might suddenly discover a hidden strength.

A good 2-0 home win over Newquay this evening. Its been a smooth ride to the top of the table so far and we start on the road to Wembley in the FA Cup on Saturday! I'm enjoying the good times while they last, but it will make our first defeat all the more painful when it happens.

Great win for you this weekend Sedge....go the Austell. Andy wasn't playing this weekend as it was the start of the Culter Colts season at U'17's. They had a great start to it too with a great gutsy win of 3-2. Have to say Andy was well chuffed with their performance and here is to many more over the season. Glendale did slightly better too...1-1 draw...hoorah!

Glad to hear better tidings from Glendale!

Technically we lost our 100% winning record as our opponents on Saturday couldn't raise a side.  The official result was 0-0 but we were awarded the 3 points. I think that the game should have been re-arranged, but league rules say otherwise. We missed out on a useful increase in our goal-difference there.

Still, we're back in action on Tuesday against the league leaders.  Then we'll see what we're really made of!

Mixed results for us today. Andy was coaching the U'17's today in their 2nd game of the season and after going down 1-0, came back and had an great win of 4-1...setting up for a good run hopefully.

Glendale however had a cup tie today....took it to 3-3 to in to extra time and then their goalie couldn't get a touch on a screamer in the last minute of extra time to lose 4-3.

How has your week been Sedge.

Last weekend didn't go as badly as I feared.  We were in the FA Cup against a side 2 leagues higher and managed to equalise twice before they put us out with an 88th minute winner.

We still have another chance to reach Wembley next weekend though as we play a lower division side in the FA Vase.

Sounds like you were unlucky there Sedge.

Mixed results today.....Andy not playing for Glendale again today, with his U'17's. It was local derby again the other Culter team. 2-1 down at half time, and they came back to win 5-2.....definitely a game of 2 halves....first they were playing a lot in the in and hoofing it, but once they settled down into the second half and started passing it about the goals came. Their first 2 admittedly were penalties, but they all count....so Andy is well chuffed....3 wins in a row... :D

Glendale on the other hand were 3-2 up at HT and then were binned 8 -3...! :blush2:

Sounds like Andy has more reason for optimism than he had last season!

We managed a pleasing 8-1 win in the FA Vase. Technically that made two victories in one match as our opponents in the next round have been removed.

Looks like U'17's have a Scottish Cup tie against on of the other teams in their league. Haven't played them yet so will be interesting to see how they get on. I suspect Andy won't be playing again this weekend.

8-1....oh my....you could do with more scores like that this season Sedge. :D

Disappointing day today....two defeats. Well not totally unexpected by Glendale given their recent record.....went down 5-0 today...!

U'17's had a Scottish Cup tie, but they just weren't the team of the last 3 games gone.....lost 6-1. But Andy says, put it behind you and just concentrate of getting back to the league games and getting more points.

How was your Saturday today.

Oh and the Scottish Women's footie team had a great 9-0 win over Faroe Islands tonight in their qualifying sections for World Cup. Lying second in their table with the next game v Sweden who are top, if they can do something against them in with a chance of topping the table with a better goal difference...fingers crossed.
