Andy non to pleased about Bale and 'the penalty'...looking back on it looks like a blatant dive, although in the papers he says different. All credit to him his second goal was a good one. As usual Scotland have the inevitable uphill climb.... :banghead:

The weather held out yesterday to see us win 4-3! The rain started to come down about 30 seconds before the final whistle. A good win, but we really need to learn how to attack AND defend well in the same match! Still, it earns us a nice £900 in prize money and a place in Monday's 2nd Round draw.

MNore good news - we've managed to make a couple of new signings who have just come home from winning the Swedish 4th Division!

:b7ydance: Good weekend for you then well done. Hoping you get a good draw on Monday for the next installment and the new signings do good.

Complete wash out up here this weekend. Phone rung at 8.30 this morning, all council pitches unplayable today as was yesterday. Bit of a god send really, as U'15's were short of players and were calling up 4 trialists (friends of players) to make up numbers. It is October school hols for 2 wks and a few away. They have called in one of their 'free weekends' for next Sunday so no game and no training this week either.

Hopefully your boys will be refreshed after their break and ready for a new start.

We've got another home draw in the FA Vase. :D We'll be playing Bemerton Heath Harlequins. I don't know much about the Wessex League, but I think they're on a par with us, so we've got a real chance of making the 3rd Round!

Ho hum...let us see how the home nations get on tonight then!

Andy and Glendale had a 2-2 draw in a Fosters Scottish Amateur Cup. Not bad considering their lack of fit players/players on holiday against a mid table premier team. Replay probably next weekend.

Predictably St Austell were knocked out of the League Cup yesterday. This is the 4th consecutive year that we've gone out in the 2nd round to a lower division side! Annoyingly the 2 Helston strikers who did the damage and the very same pair that we've been trying to sign for the past 12 months - how long can they resist the lure of the mighty Lilywhites?! ;)

That is hard lines Sedge...ah well you need to concentrate on other cups now then (hopefully). Was gutted for Celtic tonight not getting a point from the clash with the giants Barca....last flaming minute. How often does that happen.

How's the weather looking now Inver? It's blue sky and sunshine here at the moment - darn cold though!

After 2 home postponements against Plymouth Parkway, we went to their place last night and came away with a 1-0 win. As they're one of the title favourites, it wasn't a bad place to record our first league win for a month! :D

Hoorah for the win Sedge, sounds like a good 3pts. Nothing to report here except, snow, no footie pretty much all over the area, and probably none tomorrow...usual story all council pitches off.

Amazing....U'15's actually got to play after all...2-0 up at half time...blew it again and lost 2-3...!

We've had yet another postponement tonight due to our opponents' pitch being waterlogged. That's 5 games called off now - it could be a busy spring! How's it looking near the Arctic Inver?

Well was a frosty night, but it cleared for Glendale to play the return leg of their Scottish Game game that was called of last week to snow. Unfortunately they miss out on a trip to Glasgow next weekend for the next leg....they were beaten 3-0. This was the team they managed to come to draw 4-4. Ah well, they save money not needing to hire bus etc next weekend.

Time to look out the thermal undergarments though...was chilly today, just as well we took wee flask of coffee.

Phonecall at 8.30 to say 10.30 games off due to frost on pitches, but since their game is at 12.30 told that they could leave it a while and check the pitch to see if playable and make decision. So Andy and dad went to check pitch, decided it was playable and then the U'15's get beat 8-2...that horrid team Kintore United. They actually cheered when Ryan our captain took a pen and it hit the crossbar! Andy actually complained to the Kintore coaches and said it was bad sportsmanship from both the players and themselves to shout things like that. They are notrious for being like this though.

True Inver - we suffer in Cornwall as many people would rather go and watch Plymouth Argyle than support their local side.

We're just off the back of a huge 2-1 win over Saltash, another one of the title favourites. The highlight of the match was when their 90th minute penalty sailed over the bar! :D

Off to Bovey Tracey tomorrow, the same side that we knocked out of the FA Vase this season. Feeling optimistic!

Congrats on the huge win Sedge....great when you can muck up the favourites run in... :giggle2: ...hope you weren't too vocal with your cheering of the missed pen! Go for the win tomorrow :b7ydance:

Andy and 'Dale beaten 3-1 in a cup game today. Think if was a sort of consolation cup thing for those that were put out of the main cup. So many different cups they end up in I can't keep track...lol. Quiet day tomorrow for U'15's as they should have been playing Banchory in a local cup, but Banchory have a Scottish Cup tie so that takes preference, so we have a day off.

Not a bad win over Bovey Tracey. 3-1 after having a man sent off. It's encouraging to see what we can do with only 10 players, but we really have to start addressing our disciplinary problem - we don't want to get a bad reputation.

Next Saturday we're at home to Bemerton Heath Harlequins in our first match against a higher league side - here's hoping for more progress!

You are doing well. I have to laugh, some of your team names down there sound more like rugby teams!

Andy quite happy today. Celtic v St Johnstone....he posted this on Facebook. He lives in a wee dreamworld sometimes....lol.

St Johnstone draw 1-1 against Celtic at Celtic Park, Barca lost. Therefore St Johnstone are better than Barcelona''
