ned Posted January 6, 2010 Posted January 6, 2010 they look all crunchy on the outside. Yum! Yep, that's the crispy bit
AbielleRose Posted January 6, 2010 Posted January 6, 2010 Ohhhh WOW! Thanks for the visual . They are kind of shaped like a calzone, but they look all crunchy on the outside. Yum! Kind of like Hot Pockets. Mmm... Yup, French Toast is bread dipped in eggs and sprinkled with cinnamon.
Rawr Posted January 6, 2010 Posted January 6, 2010 Oh yeah crispy pancakes! There's all kinds of wonderful pancakes I am having sausages, roast potatoes and salad
Peacefield Posted January 6, 2010 Posted January 6, 2010 We had the best french toast in the world at this tiny little restaurant in Plymouth, Massachusetts a few years ago. It was made out of fritter bread and sprinkled with powdered sugar. OMG we were in heaven!
Peacefield Posted January 6, 2010 Posted January 6, 2010 Well, we were in heaven while eating it! Oh, and your previous post was lacking gravy, Rawr. What's happened to you?!
Rawr Posted January 6, 2010 Posted January 6, 2010 Firstly, that's a corny joke! Secondly, i am considering whether to have gravy, but even for me, gravy doesn't feel right with salad.
Mexicola Posted January 6, 2010 Posted January 6, 2010 Yup, French Toast is bread dipped in eggs and sprinkled with cinnamon. I've never had it with cinammon before... Might just have to try that out soon
Peacefield Posted January 6, 2010 Posted January 6, 2010 Ewww, the salad would probably get all wilt-y if you poured hot gravy all over it.
Rawr Posted January 6, 2010 Posted January 6, 2010 Oh yeah, I bought some jam yesterday and totally forgot, thank you for inadvertently reminding me!
Kylie Posted January 6, 2010 Posted January 6, 2010 Mmm, I had pancakes for breakfast this morning - a couple with jam and cream, and a couple with maple syrup (they were only small). Tonight I'm going to try out my new pie maker and make some mince pies. I hope they turn out OK.
Peacefield Posted January 7, 2010 Posted January 7, 2010 I had a couple clementines when I got home tonight, now I'm having popcorn . I didn't feel like fixing a thing.
Nollaig Posted January 7, 2010 Posted January 7, 2010 I just had a sandwich I picked up on my way to Cork, didn't feel well enough to eat that when I got here let alone cook anything.
bethany725 Posted January 7, 2010 Posted January 7, 2010 Cereal for me tonight, yey! It's Raja's soccer nite so we always do something so easy on Wednesday. Can't get more low maintenance than cereal!
ELQ Posted January 7, 2010 Posted January 7, 2010 Watched Nigel Slaters Quick Suppers last night and have just made his Morrocan Chicken......well, its in the fridge soaking up the spices etc....looking forward to super tonight....

AbielleRose Posted January 7, 2010 Posted January 7, 2010 I was thinking of attempting to make a Shepherd's Pie tonight. I've never made one before but it sounds fairly easy so I'll give it a try.
Stephanie2008 Posted January 7, 2010 Posted January 7, 2010 Shepherds Pie rocks I second that I haven't had Shepherd's Pie for ages.
AbielleRose Posted January 7, 2010 Posted January 7, 2010 Lol, it just sounds really good on a cold day like today. Nice and hearty.
