Nollaig Posted July 7, 2009 Author Posted July 7, 2009 Hm, now I'm truly beginning to wonder if I'm considered OLD in this forum. I'm not OLD!! I have no idea what age you are. This is also slightly off topic guys, so try to bring some direct texual reference into whatever you say. I'm a Mod, I have to be good. Saying you're off-topic constitutes being good. Edit: you're 27. And you have gorgeous hair. Well done. Quote
Peacefield Posted July 7, 2009 Posted July 7, 2009 Don't let Roxi tell you off it's good to embrace your inner teenager occasionally - it keeps you young! Besides, if she's telling you two off, she'd have to include me as well, as I'm supposed to be a mature, sensible woman as well (although I have spent most the nearly twenty years since I was a teenager trying to deny that!) She'll have to include me too! And yes, it's always a good thing to recognize your youth every once in awhile. Nothing wrong with some vamp lovin'. Quote
Nollaig Posted July 7, 2009 Author Posted July 7, 2009 Besides, if she's telling you two off, she'd have to include me as well, as I'm supposed to be a mature, sensible woman as well (although I have spent most the nearly twenty years since I was a teenager trying to deny that!) I thought you were a teenager. There you go. Also, I'm 21, I'm the youngest out of ALL of you, and I'm being MATURE!! GROW UP!!! Quote
frankie Posted July 7, 2009 Posted July 7, 2009 Well I didn't not start the being mature conversation I was looking for Twilight DVDs today but they were all still very pricey, I guess I just have to come to terms with investing that much money on it and to Meyers. Quote
Nollaig Posted July 7, 2009 Author Posted July 7, 2009 I'm not being entirely serious, Frankie, but I am responsible for this thread so I have to make sure it doesn't go off the wall. I spent €20 on my Twilight DVD, what a waste. Quote
Stephanie2008 Posted July 7, 2009 Posted July 7, 2009 Rawr, hush. I got my DVD off amazon for about Quote
Nollaig Posted July 7, 2009 Author Posted July 7, 2009 I feel bad now, everyone's gone quiet. Oh well. My €20 on the dvd wasn't so bad - I didn't actually BUY any of the books Quote
chesilbeach Posted July 7, 2009 Posted July 7, 2009 I feel bad now, everyone's gone quiet. Sorry, Roxi, I was too busy being mature and sensible, and doing the washing up! Oh, and as I need to stay on topic, since I finished another re-read of New Moon yesterday as well as a first time read of Midnight Sun, I was getting Eclipse out ready for my bedtime reading tonight. I'm always eager to get to Eclipse because it's my favourite of the books. I don't usually read in bed, because it tires me out and I can't remember what I've read in the morning, but I don't mind reading these books, as I know them so well, it doesn't matter if I fall asleep and forget exactly which part I was on! Quote
Stephanie2008 Posted July 7, 2009 Posted July 7, 2009 I love Eclipse too Midnight Sun is also great. I haven't read that for a while so I'll try soon. I must now go and do dishes also Quote
Rosalind Posted July 7, 2009 Posted July 7, 2009 I love Eclipse too Midnight Sun is also great. I haven't read that for a while so I'll try soon. Euhm wasn't Midnight Sun never really released??? Quote
Fi. Posted July 7, 2009 Posted July 7, 2009 Euhm wasn't Midnight Sun never really released??? You can read the first few chapters of Midnight Sun on Stephenie Meyer's website Quote
Stephanie2008 Posted July 7, 2009 Posted July 7, 2009 Yeah I think there is about 200 pages there and I really liked it because there was more banter with the Cullens, plus info about Edward and Emmett's hunting trip, and I like the bit where he tries to explain his feelings for Bella to Rosalie and the rest of the Cullens. Well worth a read in my opinion. Quote
Charm Posted July 7, 2009 Posted July 7, 2009 Let's hear it for bedrocking! Come on, Stephenie Meyer, get with the program!! Wahey! Yes, I agree. Peacefield your avatar is seriously distracting to me. Its gorgeous ... those eyes! That scene could beat the SAW movies if they really went for it in the film version. Dreamcatcher style. Fantastic! There's a shy, impressionable teenage girl in me who's doing it. The giggling. No wonder I'm so fat, need to get rid of her. frankie you some off with some crackers! LMAO Don't let Roxi tell you off it's good to embrace your inner teenager occasionally - it keeps you young! Besides, if she's telling you two off, she'd have to include me as well, as I'm supposed to be a mature, sensible woman as well (although I have spent most the nearly twenty years since I was a teenager trying to deny that!) Same here Hm, now I'm truly beginning to wonder if I'm considered OLD in this forum. I'm not OLD!! Oi you! We're not OLD either! Would someone please answer my question, I'm dying here people! Are Edward and Bella still together at the end???? Quote

Nollaig Posted July 7, 2009 Author Posted July 7, 2009 Charm, I hate to tell you, but what actually happens is the world ends. Everybody dies. Aliens comed down to repopulate the planet, but see how stupid Twilight was, say 'good riddence!' and leave laughing their ... oh wait, that was a dream I had. Never mind. Quote
Stephanie2008 Posted July 7, 2009 Posted July 7, 2009 Roxi That is more exciting that the ending. Quote
Rosalind Posted July 8, 2009 Posted July 8, 2009 You can read the first few chapters of Midnight Sun on Stephenie Meyer's website I know that I've read them but still I thought the post was about reading the whole book that's what got me confused Quote

Never mind ..I've finished! So there! Thank goodness! I feel as if I've been in limbo the last few days I guess I'm now officially a Twilight fan as much as I hate to say it. Although I think I'm more of an Edward Cullen fan *swoon* Quote
Nollaig Posted July 8, 2009 Author Posted July 8, 2009 But the ending was a total cop-out, right? Admit it! Quote
Charm Posted July 8, 2009 Posted July 8, 2009 But the ending was a total cop-out, right? Admit it! Oh absolutely! It did drag on a bit too IMO Quote
Stephanie2008 Posted July 8, 2009 Posted July 8, 2009 It did drag, and was so much of an anti-climax. I was expecting an all out war and it just fizzled. Quote
Peacefield Posted July 8, 2009 Posted July 8, 2009 It did drag, and was so much of an anti-climax. I was expecting an all out war and it just fizzled. Stephenie 'Fizzles' Meyer Still, to Charm for becoming a fan and here's to swoonage!! Quote
