Nellie
I'm poorly (all together now "Aaaawwww!"). I am working my way though my House Of Elliot DVDs, and was wondering what other people watch when they want comfort TV...
Ceinwenn
For me, it's chick flicks - Never been kissed, Ever after, 2 weeks Notice, Fools rush in, 4 Weddings & a funeral - that kind of thing.

Nellie
There was this psychotic cat which was actually a bus and it had a really scary face x_x OK, thats really, really odd...
Charm
Aww ..hope you're feeling better soon Nellie If I want to cosy up on the sofa with a good movie its usually an action movie like Pirates of the Carribean or The Transformers. I sometimes go for old Elstree black and white movies or the older Bond ones. Failing all that, the Charmed series or Scrubs for a chuckle
Rawr
OK, thats really, really odd... You should have seen my face, it was a little like Anim
Andaira
Is it odd that, for me, comfort DVDs tend to be horror films? The Shining, Silent Hill, Halloween, Rose Red...all of those are favorites of mine in this instance.
Chrissy
Awww Nellie - hope you feel better soon. For comfort I watch Serenity, Firefly series, Fifth Element, Love Actually Back To The Future Trilogy or West Wing. It depends on my ailment and concentration levels. Kell
For me, it's old screwball comedies such as His Girl Friday, Arsenic and Old Lace, and Bringing Up Baby - they're terrific!
Raven
For comfort I watch Serenity . . . Coz there's nothing like a Reaver to make you feel all warm and fuzzy!

Andaira
For me, it's old screwball comedies such as His Girl Friday, Arsenic and Old Lace, and Bringing Up Baby - they're terrific! Three of my favorite movies. Those are terrific choices! if only for Cary Grant being in them all .
chrysalis_stage
If i was ill now it would be a toss up between the addams family or stargate atlantis. I have watched the film serendipity many times when in need of comfort, works a treat with its happy ending.
Kell
Three of my favorite movies. Those are terrific choices! if only for Cary Grant being in them all . He's one of my all-time favourite actors and KING of the screwball comedies!
Echo
If I need comfort, I'll watch The Jane Austen Book Club, Under the Tuscan Sun, or Pride and Prejudice (yes, it's 5 hours long, but very comforting).
Andaira
He's one of my all-time favourite actors and KING of the screwball comedies! Same here! I've been looking through all the movies I can find of him that I might not have seen before and giving them all a chance. They're definite movies to pass a great time with while watching. Great choice, Kell

Stephanie2008
Film wise: anything animated (Sleeping Beauty, Beauty and the Beast), other chick-flick films help too like 27 Dresses, Pretty Woman, Love Actually etc. TV: when I'm ill I like comedy programmes, such as Red Dwarf (which I'm watching at the moment), or Will and Grace or Friends
Raven
If i was ill now it would be a toss up between the addams family or stargate atlantis. I like Stargate Atlantis, Rodney McKay is an excellent character. I don't tend to have any specific film or TV program I watch when I'm ill, but I once remember watching Enigma when I had a bad cold, and was dosed up with happy-make-feel-nice pills, and not being able to shift John Barry's score for it from my head for days . . . KW
I enjoy The Devil Wears Prada and Serendipity.
BrainFreeze
My comfort tv is very similar to my normal tv - so American dramas. I also love Elvis, so any of his films, musicals, and really any other films that I love.
