Heather Posted January 9, 2009 Posted January 9, 2009 I don't like the Holland & Barret ads they really are rubbish and don't do the shop any good. I think the shop does well on it's without that kind of ads. Quote
Nollaig Posted January 9, 2009 Posted January 9, 2009 I love Guinness adverts - can't stand the drink but they make cracking adverts! I love the Christmas one. 'even at the home of the Black Stuff, we're dreaming of a white one.' Its a lovely ad. Quote

supergran71 Posted January 14, 2009 Posted January 14, 2009 I absolutely hate that half naked "old" man who is banging on about insurance. I can't bear to watch and turn away while it is on or go out of the room Quote
Weave Posted January 14, 2009 Author Posted January 14, 2009 I absolutely hate that half naked "old" man who is banging on about insurance. I can't bear to watch and turn away while it is on or go out of the room Its Iggy Pop and I can't bear to watch either Supergran Quote
pipread Posted January 15, 2009 Posted January 15, 2009 I hate the tenna lady advert! it implies that any woman over 30 shouldn`t laugh or cough if they`re not wearing one. Quote
Chrissy Posted January 15, 2009 Posted January 15, 2009 I hate the tenna lady advert! it implies that any woman over 30 shouldn`t laugh or cough if they`re not wearing one. But aren't these ladies of a certain age liberated by their tenna lady pads, in the same way that rollerblading, white jeaned athletic dog walkers were liberated by tampons/towels/wings/whatever?!! Quote

I think your right, it must be where I`ve been going wrong - I`ve heard poligrip`s got a lot to offer as well! Quote
ChrisJ Posted January 16, 2009 Posted January 16, 2009 Has anyone seen the T-Mobile advert? Dancing in train station. Don't usually take notice of adverts but this one is good. Quote
Charm Posted January 16, 2009 Posted January 16, 2009 Has anyone seen the T-Mobile advert? Dancing in train station. Don't usually take notice of adverts but this one is good. Omg Yes! I've just came straight to this thread to post about it!! I saw it while watching BB and thought it was brilliant:mrgreen: Quote

BrainFreeze Posted January 17, 2009 Posted January 17, 2009 I agree about the Take A Break and bingo ads - I also really can't stand that DulcoEase advert. Was it really necessary for them to make it so blatantly obvious they're ripping of the Sex and the City characters? Quote
Chrissy Posted January 18, 2009 Posted January 18, 2009 I have a secret liking for the Capri Sun advert! *Shhhhhh don't tell anyone* Quote
mister.g Posted January 18, 2009 Posted January 18, 2009 Has anyone seen the T-Mobile advert? Dancing in train station. Don't usually take notice of adverts but this one is good. Yeah - i work for them and it's the first time i can be pleased with an advert they've released. It was on tv within 48 hours of being filmed. Quote
Ben Posted January 18, 2009 Posted January 18, 2009 Yeah - i work for them and it's the first time i can be pleased with an advert they've released. It was on tv within 48 hours of being filmed. Wow, awesome! I loved that advert! Quote
mister.g Posted January 18, 2009 Posted January 18, 2009 Wow, awesome! I loved that advert! 4 of the people in the advert are employees who won their place in an internal competition. I had a lump in my throat when i watched it properly (yesterday on youtube - when it was on friday night i was at work with the tv on silent so didn't get the full effect) It's great that in the current climate (war, credit crunch etc) that a small piece of film can create such a feel good factor. Quote
lexiepiper Posted January 18, 2009 Posted January 18, 2009 Yeah definately, it's something so simple, but wow, it really has an effect on people! Quote
Colin Jacobs Posted January 18, 2009 Posted January 18, 2009 i just hate the DFS Adverts using that "I wanna be a Rock Star" song. In 1987 the average ad break was two minutes. in 2008/09 the average ad break is five minutes, The longest ad breaks are on the Virgin Channel an average of eight minutes. Quote
