    Just read "The Private Patient" by P.D James. This is my second book by her I have had some real unreadable ones in the past but it hs made me want to try another of her novels.

    Not drinking enough water and the cold wind sets me off. It normally starts with a niggle in the right side of my head. then a three day migrane that no painkiller will cure, I need another three days to recover and three days to recover from the recovery. A flash of lightening in front of my eyes is another sign. My migranes are now rare.

    Slumdog as it is a feel good film but I always wait for the DVD's so may buy both anyway. Marley and me will be a cinema visit though.

    Of course I will read short stories but never buy books new anyway. I am keen on Graphic novels especially the Marvel comics. But that is different. I was going to read "Goodbye Mr Chips" but was put off by the few pages, the original film made me think it was a book of about 700 pages.

    If i am looking for a book I am usually put off by those that have less than 100 pages. I just dont think a story has time to develop enough and I want a damn good read What does the forum think?

    Yup Marley and Me has been made into a film I will be certainly be going to see that. It is a great opportunity to take my new girlfriend to the pictures. I wonder who will cry first. C.

    Having searched for and found The Resurrectionist by James Bradley. I read the amazon reviews. Sadly the reviews are negative and I am now a bit worried about reading it. I guess I will read it and make my own mind up anyway. I must stop reading reviews before I have read the book:roll:

    I have fifty or so victorian Nature books some are first editions and signed by the author. I was left them in the will of a famous Naturalist who taught me. They are worth IRO

    I read Hotel Rwanda a similar take on Rwanda, on the airplane coming home from Kenya. How these Savages were allowed to carry out these barbaric acts is beyond me. Just because you were born with a thicker nose?

    Lowestoft Suffolk. Born in Norfolk but only lived there for three days (Whilst in Hospital) I have lived in Suffolk since then. Although I only live three miles away from my parents I rarely see them nowadays
