  1. I guess you like Clive Cussler? I am an eclectic reader like yourself. Welcome along to the forum where reading may take a back seat whilst you are on here. it happens to us all.
  2. I like a Phal or Vindaloo myself. But tommorow I will be having a 12" meat feast Pizza and potato wedges. I always have a treat when my Dole money arrives before the rest is spent on debts and bills.
  3. I enjoy Cross stitch but have been so stressed lately that I just have not felt in the mood to do anything. I have some Bagpuss charts to do but I am unable to afford the materials just yet.

  5. Well it is obvious who the ripper is (No I have not read the book) It is not really dark enough for me but will watch it through to the end.
  6. Well one should read the children's classics and of course Harry Potter, and read as many as books as they can. I really must get into Terry Pratchett. That is my life's challenge.
  7. I am well aware how bullying can effect a child and I did start to tense up when I witnessed it going on. Nowadays I do try and stand up for myself, it will be interesting to see how the programme develops.

  9. Children are just too molly coddled and this programme shows that they do know what they are doing. its is a breath of fresh air to see children being children at last.
  10. I remember seeing a book one day about Lift etiquette. One chapter was about "Passing wind" One is always supposed to own up an apologise. But do we? There are several people who I would not want to be stuck in a lift with. But i do always carry a book with me in case I do get stuck,

  15. Too true but you have to admit we have a damn good laugh too. The forum is always very busy and it is so addictive pressing that "New Posts" button to see if anyone has responded to your thread, I also have made some great E friends too. I also find it a great resource for finding new writers too.
  16. The title is very clever because the book is about Marley and a lot of the book is about John Grogan and his family.

  18. For me it would have to be Dirk Pitt (Clive Cussler Novels) I have a Geology degree so could get a job with N.U.M.A and would ove to have his adventures and his women.

  20. Well as you know I am a keen birder, also a keen Naturalist (Wildlife study) I am trying to build up a nature guide business and sell my photographs and make greetings cards from them. I enjoy Cross stitch, Photography,Jigsaw puzzles and of course reading. Once i get out of this hostel and get my own place I will be re building my model railway.
  21. Yes they are a bit Basic. They seem to be targeted for the nine to twelve year old. I have all the books as I collect book art and read one only.
  22. He wanted to show more to the public that there are other wildlife, other than Otter's Deer and Badgers but the BBC would not let him.
  23. Oh, he's that Swedish Chief inspector, the books are set in the 60's and 70's I have never read any of the books but I have heard of the character. Hmm! might see if there are any at the library tommorow
