Virginia Posted October 19, 2023 Share Posted October 19, 2023 Anybody experiencing a cold spell yet? Has the cold set in yet? Our leaves are changing, FINALLY. It's getting cold at night and now I can pretend (at least in the evenings) that it's almost full-time sweater/boots weather! I'm concerned about this winter. Madeleine Posted October 20, 2023 Author Share Posted October 20, 2023 So far it's been pretty mild here (SE England), a bit cooler but apparently mild for the time of year, but more in keeping with the season, very windy and wet too. Saw on the news there is very bad flooding in Scotland, with two deaths and warnings for Wales and England. Sheffield had about 75mm of rain since Thursday night, more than falls in the whole of October generally. Absolutely torrential for 36 hours, stopped briefly now.
