Madeleine Posted November 13, 2016 Posted November 13, 2016 After a day of almost continuous rain, we're back to bright and sunny today. Quote
Virginia Posted November 13, 2016 Author Posted November 13, 2016 It's a cold, gray, rainy, stay in kind of day. Quote
Nollaig Posted November 14, 2016 Posted November 14, 2016 Up to 16 degrees here today. God forbid I should enjoy any bit of winter before Christmas. Quote
Chrissy Posted November 14, 2016 Posted November 14, 2016 Grey clouds, chill wind and lotsa rain. Quote
shirley Posted November 14, 2016 Posted November 14, 2016 Well if you like the rain the Midlands is the place for you as it has not stopped for over a week and it is so cold. Quote
chesilbeach Posted November 16, 2016 Posted November 16, 2016 Started raining now, and according to the forecast, it's not going to stop much over the next 24 hours, but hoping it'll be dry on Friday so I can get out and get some fresh air! Quote
Virginia Posted November 16, 2016 Author Posted November 16, 2016 Comfortable temps but the site quality is poor. A wildfire in North Carolina has drifted into South Carolina causing hazy skies. Quote
Nollaig Posted November 16, 2016 Posted November 16, 2016 Temperatures dropping here again into the single digits, yay! Think tomorrow is rainy, though, unfortunately. Quote
Nollaig Posted November 17, 2016 Posted November 17, 2016 Very changeable today - wind is howling!! Ranges from very heavy showers to clear blue skies thanks to the wind. Quite nippy. Quote
Little Pixie Posted November 17, 2016 Posted November 17, 2016 Windy ! Cat refuses to go out - plant pots are rolling round the garden - and tornadoes nearby ! Click. Quote
Virginia Posted November 17, 2016 Author Posted November 17, 2016 Windy ! Cat refuses to go out - plant pots are rolling round the garden - and tornadoes nearby ! Click. Oh my! You guys got hit with a tornado! Smart cat! Its pretty mild here today. Kinda driving me crazy. Cold one day, warm the next. Kids a school (university) sneezing, wheezing, hacking, coughing all over the place. I just hope and pray that I can hold out a little while longer and not catch what they have. They're like walking biohazards, lol! I want to put on a Hazmat suit before entering the lecture and lab rooms. Quote

Little Pixie Posted November 17, 2016 Posted November 17, 2016 that sounds scary! Here the temperature is around 7 °C - 11 °C maximum and we get a lot of rain. It`s 2-7 C here now. I Skyped my cousin in Siberia this week - she says it`s much warmer there now - it`s up to -20C. Quote
Athena Posted November 17, 2016 Posted November 17, 2016 I Skyped my cousin in Siberia this week - she says it`s much warmer there now - it`s up to -20C. What?! Anything - (minus) is too cold for me as a maximum temperature! We had -15 °C here a few years ago, not as a maximum temperature though but part of the day, and it was extremely cold. I can't imagine thinking - 20 °C being warmer! Quote

We had -20C a few years ago too, and had ice on the river. It was just astonishing. Quote
Virginia Posted November 17, 2016 Author Posted November 17, 2016 LOL! Thats like when Northerns come to South Carolina during the winter months. We call it a cold snap when the temps reach 65. They come down wearing shorts and flip flops! Quote
