  1. Gorgeous pics ! Love the doggie. How nice that your Boss let you go out to have some time with a canine friend.
  2. Thanks - I get used to something and it works fine for me, but then ..... Change is difficult !
  3. The Return does sound good. It reminds me a little of The Daughter of Time, where an Inspector in hospital `solves` the murder of Richard III`s nephews.
  4. 1087 pages ?? Is that the longest one you`ve read ? I think my longest one was around 800 pages.
  5. Thanks - it`s okay atm, cos I used system restore - but the windows update causing the problem re-downloads after a while, and you can`t turn off the updates. Grr.
  6. Grr, internet problems. Windows 10 updates knocked out the web browser I like. Back when I can.
  7. Those new books look good.
  8. 18C, overcast - and 89% humidity. Bleah.
  9. They showed some of that on our news. So sad.
  10. Hurray for the free printer ! How nice.
  11. Aw, that`s a nice word, too.
  12. Your new books look great !
  13. I put the first Black Magician book in my ` buy when it`s a good price ` list on Amazon - it`s £2.06 now, so I`m waiting for more books to fall, to make it up to £10 for the free p&p.
  14. Thanks . So traumatic.
  15. Ooh, they both sound good.
  16. She`s currently snoozing on the balcony - it`s around 26C now and a bit windy, so really nice for her.
  17. Only as a treat ; the rest of the time, she has Felix ( Doubly Delicious, Country Style, etc ) which loooks like `proper` food, ie, not overly processed, plus IAMS, which doesn`t have icky stuff in it. Did you find your doggie was healthier on raw ?
  18. Rolling Stone - Another free Patricia Wentworth book.
  19. Thanks Gaia. : ) She`s happier now ( talking away and running about ), so hopefully she`s on the mend.
  20. Poor Xiao-Xiao came in on Thursday night at 9pm completely drenched. There was this terracottta-brown water pouring off her, like she`d been submerged in water. Poor thing was utterly traumatised. No idea if it was deliberate or she accidentally fell into the river ( which she never even goes near ). She`d just finished a course of steroids from the vet for her itchiness, so was in the best shape to fight off anything. She`s had a couple of days of raw beef to make her feel better, and she`s started talking again - she was so quiet and subdued - and running about. Still a bit jumpy though, and snuggles up closely to me at bedtime. :(:
  21. Nice pics ! Thanks for the Trudi Canavan info. I`ve Kimpled The Black Magician, The Age of Five and Millenium`s Rule ( the first one looks especially good, but I like the sound of all of them ).
