  1. Red Dwarf 12 x 01.
  2. Good Luck. Maybe just do the bare minimum ?
  3. Thank you ! And I agree ; it`s difficult sometimes to get a wide enough view with sunsets, too. Utterly tipping down today ; Xiao-Xiao just went outside for a few mins, and is shaking her back feet now.
  4. Also, here`s tonight`s sunset :
  5. I had my hair cut yesterday at a friend`s house ; her daughter - who I`m also friends with - was getting rid of some books and I had a bit of a pillage through her collection.
  6. She`s out adventuring atm ; I shall give her a Gaia Cuddle when she comes in.
  7. That`s a shame.
  8. I loved that show, then the Beeb stopped showing it ! Grrr. I`m waiting for the final season, then I can get the big box set and catch up.
  9. Thank you ! I must see about some more book pics when the newbies arrive ; currently, the dining room table is free of books ( because of the electrician coming over and needing to get around in the dining room without being crushed by toppling book piles ) but I don't know how long that will last. Xiao-Xiao is now in the habit of leaping onto the table when her food appears ; I think she hopes to be fed at the table, rather than on the floor.
  10. I'm quite a few behind now, but Brunetti and Gamache are my current favourite detectives.
  11. It`s recently been in the book reviews here ; I read the first one, and will probably get the second one at some point too.
  12. Thank you. I may have got some books... Into The Dim - Janet B Taylor ( it looks Outlander-ish) Head Case - Cole Cohen ( a memoir, about a Post-Grad who turns out to have a hole in her brain the size of a lemon :o. ) Helen of Troy - Bettany Hughes The End of Mr Y - Scarlett Thomas Earthly Remians - Donna Leon ( 26th in the Insp. Brunetti series )
  13. Ooh, Susan Hill. Have you see Jacob`s Room is full of books, the follow up to Howard`s End is on the landing ?
  14. That`s interesting, though really sad. It`s the lack of empathy that gets me : Why make someone feel bad because they`re different to you ?
  15. I have quite a few ` might come in handy one day` downloads.
  16. Meant to be rainy and very windy here tonight too.
  17. Still reading Helene Hanff - Q's Legacy. I took it acupuncture today, and my acupuncturist asked about it. I've previously lent her a couple of books, so handed this one over, for her to take a peek at while I was on the treatment couch. She really liked it, so I'm lending it to her when I've finished it. Another member of the HH Fan club !
  18. Anna, I don`t know if you`d be interested in cosy mysteries set in the world of climbing, but there`s a vintage series by Glyn Carr ( I have one of them, not read it yet).
  19. That really is bizarre.
  20. How are feeling about Winter in Madrid now ? I found I enjoyed it more in hindsight, if that makes sense.
  21. Yikes. Hope you`ll be fully recovered soon.
  22. Hurray for Jasper Fforde ; I think he`s my most re-read author ( besides Harry Potter).
  23. Last night`s sunset.
  24. The Blackhouse _ Peter May - free for Kindle today.
