If you 've had major bereavement, I find that grief is a constant companion, it's just that sometimes, it's really well hidden. Sending hugs too. I love the 150 comment.

The books look great ! I especially like the look of the NK Jemisin books. And, what a pretty tablecloth. To echo the comments, don't worry about your TBR. I think everyone else has their own to worry about, anyway.

One thing - the author has quite a potty mouth, but in this case, I found it amusing rather than offensive.

I thought the Sainsbury's sale was excellent ! I got a bunch of long sleeved t-shirts in jewel colours, some new leggings, a Snoopy set of Jim-jams and a green sweater dress ( I usually find green a bit school uniform-y, but this was a pretty tweedy green ).

Thanks ! And yes - I really liked the film, I thought Meryl Streep was brilliant in it. I loved the Julie & Julia book ; Julie came across as so real and funny. I'm tempted by her follow-up book, Cleaving.

I know what you mean, but I feel it`s in the doldrums lately. I was managing 15+ books per month, and lately, I`ve struggled to complete 1-2 books per month. Still,I have some goodies to get to ,soon.

I`d completely forgotten about Orange ; glad it was a goodie. I just looked it up, and therer`s a sort-of sequel ?

The Sons of Adam - Eva Garcia Saenz ( book 2 in the Immortals series ) My first Kindle Unlimited book, it`s the follow- up to The Immortal Collection, and a direct follow-on of the story. The first book dealt with Adriana, a young archaeologist who begins to suspect there`s something odd about the family employing her at the Museum in Santander... Like the first book, the second one isn`t great literature ( but that could be the translation from the Spanish ) but there`s a great storyline, wonderful characters and it`s a brilliant page turner.

I'm hoping it'll have the effect of taking less of my money. The main ones I've taken - plus Psychologies magazine - are ones I've wanted to read for ages. I'm also hoping it'll make me get back properly into reading, since I have three months to read lots for free.

I`ve just taken out a 3-month free Kindle Unlimited subscription ( the Times newpaper has an offer for their subscribers, hurray ). I`ve recently seen a few books whic I wanted to read, which also happened to be free on Kindle unlimited, so thought I`d take out the trial. I`ve downloaded books by Rysa Walker, EE Holmes, Jim Lavene, JR Rain ( cosy mysteries and urban fantasy ). EDIT - I`ve also taken soem of the British Library crime classics - and bought ( for 99p) the latest Death in Paradise book, Death Knocks Twice ( I can`t see it avaailbale on US Kindle, just the UK One ).

Just checked and it`s still `unknown 2017`. I`m glad that it hasn`t been Netflixed.

Oh dear, must get back to watching Smallville. Sometime. i thought Supergirl was okay, Liked Legends, thought The Flash was a bit meh. Still got Arrow and Shannara to go.

Currently reading Helene Hanff : 84 Charing Cross Road. I took it into the Dentist`s, and he asked what I was reading ; after I finished enthusing, he said he really liked the film but hadn`t read the book, and could he have a look. He`s taken a pic of the cover now to remind himself to get the book. Another new fan !

Ooh, I like the look of the Martha Grimes book.

Up to S8 of Stargate SG 1 Hurray, New shows this week : Supergirl, The Flash, Arrow, Legends of Tomorrow, Shannara Chronicles S2. Still watching Professor T, a Flemish police procedural. The first ep was a bit wobbly, but it's now one of my favourite shows. Also watching repeats of Beck on BBC .

Glad I'm not missing much, and a bit sad that it's not brilliant. I saw that Fox has bought The Orville ; no air date yet, but yay.
