  1. I knew with certainty that I would never be a doctor. When Breath Becomes Air - Paul Kalanithi
  2. Ha! I love that it's a personal thing Gaia! I love foxes, probably because they have so much in common with dogs! I really must look to see if they have any wolves or bears (not teddy bears) as they are my very favourite wild animals.
  3. Absolutely, I think parents appreciate it them, the bigger toys are generally for gifts or more spoilt kids!! I'm always amazed at how hard some parents find it getting through the shop without buying something though, some of the little lovelies are often dragged out screaming! Oh, he is very sweet, I may have to pop him on the next order!!!
  4. I hve a friend the same, it was her birthday yesterday so got her a lovely card with lots of chickens on it, from the gift shop of course!! We have had the Bluebell and Tulip Pink Bashful Bunnies and they have both been very popular, this is my latest favourite though - http://www.jellycat.com/cordy-roy-fox-roy3fx/
  5. How dreadful, on our local train line we get a fair amount of suicides where people jump in front of trains, as much as I feel for the person, it must be so harrowing for the drivers.
  6. It helps having Goran Visnjic in it Chrissy! Just finished season 12 of Grey's Anatomy, Maddie and I love this show, will be caught up soon with season 13!!
  7. I'm reading Comfort & Joy by Kristin Hannah, one of her early ones (2005), it is clear from her early books that she was honing her writing style and quality.
  8. Happy reading in 2017 Angury, and good luck with your studies/new job!
  9. Have a fab 2017 Autumn, and good luck with your challenge, looks like you've made a good start!
  10. I have one that looks like that in my thread too! I totally lost track of all the quotes, think I'd best stick to the regular quote and multi quote options as clearly I can't be trusted with anything more technical! :D
  11. Thanks Laura, I had a couple of deliveries yesterday and we had some £5 tractors! Some with trailers, also some little Landrovers which are great, and will hopefully be popular! Also had lots of pocket money toys too, like these: https://www.google.co.uk/search?q=spikey+farm+puffer&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&hl=en-gb&client=safari#imgrc=fxulPSjHIafSRM%3A and: https://www.google.co.uk/search?q=knitted+bounce+balls&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&hl=en-gb&client=safari#imgrc=jkLBdDgS_qaIgM%3A Both less than £3 so should be popular!
  12. They do so many different ones, some crazy ones too, look up http://www.jellycat.com/chelsea-chicken-che2ch/Think I need to get some of these, though not sure how many kids will like these though!
  13. I want to visit Highgate Cemetary so I may start there, I've already read Her Fearful Symmetry by Audrey Niffenegger so I need to see if any other author has set a book there. Or maybe the Imperial War Museum, that may be mentioned in a book?
  14. They are indeed, I need to start looking for books with a character named Hayley in them!
  15. Beautiful, sunny day here today, sunglasses sunny! Temperature dipped once it got dark though so gonna be cold night and morning!
  16. Happy 2017 poppy, hope it's a great one for you and Al, lots of lovely books there, hopefully you'll get to Jamaica Inn and The House at Riverton sometime this year, both fabulous reads in my opinion, I have a couple more of Kate Morton's on my TBR (one of the Kobo) that I really must have a go at, the only thing putting me off was how awful I found The Distant Hours, it was far too long and dull, but I did love The Forgotten Garden so she is winning 2:1 at the moment! Perfect weather at the mo for sitting in a cosy room with a book, soon Spring will be here and we can venture outside and be a little more active!
  17. Happy New Year Muggle, have a good one!
  18. Thanks Diane, I shall be doing what I like but yes, I will endeavour to only have one book per category. Some will be harder than others, especially finding a character with my first name and a book set somewhere I'll be visiting this year, we have no plans as yet!

  20. All the below are books I haven't liked at all. yet I know others have given them top reviews! Lord of the Flies The Lovely Bones The Red Tent The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time All the Light We Cannot See
