  1. I was wondering if any of you book readers, ever get emotional and tearful reading books. I do very often with some of the novels I read, have a good cry reading them.

  7. I have a house phone and a mobile, mostly I use my mobile as it is on contract, the only time we use the house phone is for 08 numbers, that is why we had one put in, as they are expensive on mobiles and obviously these are added onto my monthly mobile bill. My son is also on contract, by my hubby has pay as you go, as he hardly uses it.
  8. We only have WH Smith now left in Luton, Waterstones closed down in at the weekend. I buy from Amazon, and about 12 miles from Luton, Stevenage Indoor Market, large selection of books.
  9. I am reading Nora Roberts 'High Noon', started it last night, another good book of hers, bit small print, thank goodness for my new glasses, so this book will take me a bit longer to read
  10. It depends really, I go to a market and buy brand new ones which are cheap, probably spend about £20-£30 a month, that is my treat, I do smoke, but do not drink, and we do not go out in the evenings. Mick never moans what I spend, if I want something he just says if you want it, buy it. I also buy from Amazon, probably once a month or so, maybe sometimes twice a month.
  11. I have only read 'Rivers End', heard so much about her, thought I would try one of her books, could not put it down. Bought two of her books from Stevenage indoor market, all brand new paperbacks £2.50 each, I was absolutely hooked on this book, now I have started reading 'High Noon', they have loads of her books, cannot wait to go back on Saturday, to get a couple more of her books, have written down, from your kind messages, which you all recommend.
  12. I bought one of these hard back books from the works, they were selling it for £2.99, I wonder if they are as good as Nora Roberts normal books, it is called Creation in Death.
  13. Thank you for this I have only read one of Nora Roberts Books, 'Rivers End', I am now hooked on her books, I have a voucher from WH Smith for £5 off when you spend £12, I am going to buy two of her books this week.I have High Noon also to read, not started it yet, will do tonight or tomorrow.
  14. Reading Mills and Boon Intrigue - Beneath the Badge Got so many of Mills and Boon to read, as I got alot of them very cheap.
  15. If anyone lives near Stevenage Hertfordshire, Indoor Market book stall, she sells paperbacks, brand new they are (not seconds), £2.50 each, normally £6.99. Anyone into Mills and Boon, I am into them also 5 for £5
  16. I live in Luton, went into town yesterday, to go to Waterstones, to see if they had any Nora Roberts books, shock of my life, the shop had closed down, did not even know they were closing. The only shop we have left now is WH Smith, the problem is I think, that alot of people buy books from Amazon (me included), alot of them are discounted, normally £6.99 shops, you can get Nora Roberts books for £4.89 on there site and free postage. Alot of other books are discounted to. Another thing is kindle is out now, or you can download it to your mobile, which I have done and also have downloaded it to my PC, some books are free or if not free discounted.
  17. Hi I am Vanessa, an over 50 year old lady, live with my wonderful Partner Mick and our 21 year old fantastic son Richard. I love reading books, I read alot of Mills and Boon, also read Barbara Taylor-Bradford, Danielle Steel. I started reading Nora Roberts book last week and could not put it down, so now I am hooked on her books. If any of you live near Stevenage Hertfordshire, they sell brand new paperbacks in the indoor market for £2.50 each, that is where I have been buying alot of my books from. I shall enjoy giving and receiving out which are the best books to buy hopefully from this forum.
