  1. Thank you, chesilbeach. How are you doing?
  2. I haven't been book buying a lot lately. I am just starting to read The Way of Kings by Brandon Sanderson.
  3. Thank you, Karsa. How are you doing?
  4. I think it's been over a year since I have been here. I had to stay away for awhile, as books and music were addictions for me. I had to get my head in the right place before I returned. Enough about me unless you want to ask me questions. How is everyone else doing?
  5. I can play the piano and acoustic guitar a little bit. My best instrument, though, is my singing voice.
  6. I'm reading The Distant Hours by Kate Morton. It's actually not bad, but I can't seem to stay focused on it. I think it's the move that has effected my mojo. Yes, let's go mojo hunting. Where do we look?
  7. I've been feeling guilty coming here, too, Abby. I have been reading the same book for a month! I should finish it one of these days.
  8. The only autograph I ever received was from Elton John. This was maybe 15 years ago, and I didn't meet him. A friend of mine happened to have his actual address in Buckhead, Georgia. I wrote to that address and requested an autographed picture, not really expecting to get one. A week later an autographed picture arrived in my mailbox. He even wrote "To Kimberly"!
  9. That's the understatement of the year. It's the best concert I've ever been to.
  10. A brand new artist. Tune - Cabin Fever They are from Poland and play an accordion. How sick is that? Huh. That link doesn't work right. Well, look it up on You Tube if you are interested.
  11. Is having one of those days when life seems stupid and pointless.

The concert was amazing! And you think Rush is better than this live, Karsa? I'm not so sure. ;-)

  15. I couldn't focus on The Distant Hours by Kate Morton, so I'm now reading Baal by Robert McCammon.

  19. I was listening to the smoke detector chirping every minute or so. Now I am listening to the beautiful silence.
  20. I'm gonna smash the smoke detector to pieces. It's driving me crazy with it's chirping!

      Pixie

Actually, tried that. Still chirping. Disconnected it until I can get new ones. All good. :)

      New smoke detectors, that is.

  21. I have heard people rave about this series on here, but for some reason it has never interested me.
  22. Suddenly, my 1,000 books (give or take a few) doesn't seem like that many.
  23. Julie, I haven't read any of his others yet, but I do have them in my TBR pile. My TBR pile right now is entirely too large, so I have been really good lately about staying away from purchasing anything new.
  24. Oh, I just read on Mr. Wilson's Facebook page that he doesn't loathe Apple products or iPods. He was just expressing his frustration with the way people listen to music these days. Frankly, I think it's a lame excuse, as he was recently pimping a new app of his that was created for the...iPhone. But, whatever. I love his music, I don't expect him to be a perfect person. Glad you are liking Grace For Drowning. It is far superior to Insurgentes. I really enjoyed that, poppy. Kind of different in a strange way, which I like. Reminds me of me. Yes, No-Man is either depressingly beautiful or romantically beautiful, depending on the lyrics. Blackest Eyes and Trains are two of PTs best.
