  1. I picked up The Iron King by Julie Kagawa a while back and am hoping to sink into it tonight. Hoping I can get back into reading more, even if its just a couple chapters at a time.
  2. I've become addicted to MasterChef Junior. If you haven't seen it yet it is soo adorable. Gordon Ramsay is incredible with kids and these 8-12 yr olds are beyond brilliant! I'm addicted.
  3. Fargo is finally pulling out of the negative digits and -30+ wind chills today. We're supposed to get up to 25f which, believe it or not, is a very welcomed "heat wave!"
  4. Hope you feel better ASAP! Btw, I love your avvie
  5. I'm having a Reign marathon tonight on Nexflix after having just finished a Friends marathon.
  6. Hey Marina! Welcome to BCF!
  7. I'm about to start Divergent as I've just seen the movie in the past week and really want to see just how much better the story in book form is.
  8. I just finished watching Divergent a bit ago. Such a good movie!
  9. Right now ESPN is in Fargo for College Game Day. Our college, North Dakota State University, has won the title the last 3 years and they're here to kick off the football season. Since its being televised on ESPN tomorrow everyone in town is in a football frenzy. I, however, shall be hiding far from the sports maniacs.
  10. I'm loving Virginia's!
  11. Aw, that's next on my TBR pile. I own a few Gaiman books but this will be the first one I'll actually 'read'. Darn finicky mojo...
  12. Not in America it hasn't!
  13. Hey Marie! Welcome to BCF!
  14. My grandma was watching the Home Shopping Network the other day and ordered me a little tablet. I got it in the mail today and it really isn't a 'high technology' one (the camera is like what cell phone ones were 10 years ago) so I'm going to make it into an eReader It can download both Nook and Kindle apps so... eReader. I'm excited to try it again after having not really gotten into the eReader thing when i had a Nook.
  15. Sometimes the mojo just isn't there. Maybe tomorrow!
  16. Ooh, mango sounds good! I have some good, trusty Ben and Jerry's Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough in the freezer for later.
  17. Very pretty, Athena. Its been a while since I've posted in here, so... I actually did my hair for a change.
  18. Reading about scones in a novel when I was a teen was my first introduction to them. I lived in a town without fancy coffee shops or pastry shops (aside from Dunkin' Doughnuts... but that doesn't count). I loved them! Think I'll actually make a batch of apple scones with some cinnamon butter to take into work this weekend, now.
  19. I finally just started reading The Fault in Our Stars by John Green.
  20. Oatmeal with a spoonful of canned pumpkin, cinnamon and brown sugar. Yum! <3
  21. I love the first one. There's just something about getting to know a brand new world and new characters that always makes the first in a series extra special to me. Except Harry Potter... The first in that series was a bit slow, IMO... Do you think they'll end up making a movie out of the series?
  22. I'm so happy you enjoyed Beth Revis' books. I'm hoping we get many more novels out of her!
  23. No food, just a mug of pomegranate tea. <3
  24. You'll do great, Lucy!!
  25. A little bit ago my dad and stepmom let me know our family cat, Shadow, died this morning. He was almost 18 years old. My dad found him when he was only a few weeks old huddling underneath his car's engine for warmth in the winter. He brought him home and Shadow never forgot it. Even when dad tried to rehome him a few years ago Shadow 'escaped' and found his way back home. Dad figured a cat who wanted to be with us that bad was worth keeping around. Shadow even learned to go to the bathroom outside like a dog (I think because he knew dad hated the litter box smell in the house.) Dad told me they found him in the yard this morning with our German shepherd, K.D., guarding his body. She was protecting him and wouldn't let anyone near him, not even the other dogs. Shadow was always 'her kitty'. I'm really going to miss him.
