Tonight I'm going out to a new Irish pub that opened here a few months ago. They have a band playing tonight so it should be a good time! Fish and Chips is one of my favorite meals so I will probably have that.

Today I think I'll order either pizza or Chinese. It's too hot to turn the oven on in my little apartment; my whole place will be hot and stuffy all night if I do.

I guess I shouldn't tell you that I have a box of 50 in my freezer right now. They are one of my favorite little 'snacks'.

Unfortunately the shipping rates are pretty outrageous. I think the reason they went up so high (they didn't used to be that bad) is because of the hike in gas and all of that. The best advice I can give is to see if any of your friends are planning on buying books and make one mass order together and split the shipping. Otherwise Barnes and Noble's website also has a sub-site where you can buy used volumes from individuals. There is a chance that the shipping may be cheaper that way (but you would want to make sure that the seller is willing to ship over to you). Good luck! I understand how you feel about the B&N leatherbound classics. I just recently purchaced The Complete Works of Jane Austen and am in love with it!

I ate a freezie today! It was blue raspberry, very good stuff!

For breakfast I'm having a muffin with Rhubarb/Apple/Strawberry jam. It is so delicious! I could eat muffins for every meal and never get sick of them.

Tonight I am making beef stroganoff. I haven't made it in years and it just sounds really good right now!

Charlaine Harris has a couple other series but I haven't tried them. I agree though, it is hard to find something to equal how much I enjoy reading the Sookie Stackhouse series. Sookie is one of the most unique and enjoyable characters I have ever come across.

I just got an email from my book store this morning that the newest, A Touch of Dead, will be coming out on October 6th and is now avaliable for pre-order! It is actually a collection of short stories about Sookie and the vamps. Hopefully it will hold me over until the next in the series comes out!

Have you ever tried a cannoli? It is sort of the same concept except you use marscapone cheese and stuff it inside of a circular pastry and then you can top it with whatever you like (chocolate, fruit, etc). It is delicious!

After that ending I can believe it!

Eric is my favorite character (besides Sookie) in the books. From what I hear she has 3 more books left to come out in the series. I'm excited for the next one!

I have a stupid question. What is Marmite? Is it sort of like a jam?

Supper tonight consisted of a bowl of popcorn for an appetizer followed by left-over spaghetti from Friday night. I don't know if it is just me but spaghetti always tastes better as left-overs than it does freshly made.
