  1. Tuna pasta for us tonight with vegetables on the side
  2. They are quite fascinating to analyse. Sometimes they have an interesting story running through them so it's as if I've just watched a horror movie....but they really do shake me up, just like horror movies I suppose
  3. He really would wouldn't he! I always imagine Aziraphale to be played by Stephen Fry (or someone very similar) when I read the book. This movie could be so good!
  4. The Shack by William Young is supposed to be amazing. I bought it for my Mam as she's also fascinated by the afterlife.
  5. I usually go to Amazon too but generally read the 5 star reviews and rarely read the 1 star reviews unless there's an alarmingly high number of them. I think I probably just want to find out what people liked and if they liked the things that I would usually go for. I think I also love to hear people gush about a book they loved
  6. Ripe Was The Drowsy Hour: The Age Of Oscar Wilde by J E Chamberlain
  7. Welocome to the Forum Kayla!

    Hello

Welcome to the Forum Heddy! I'm sure you'll fit right in
  9. He really does doesn't he! I liked the dinner party scene too and I find the character of Bonnie pretty interesting with her link to the Salem Witches.
  10. The question is, which director would we trust with The Vampire Lestat? I've been think about who could make a great adaptation and have yet to come up with anyone. I thought about Guillermo Del Toro initially but I'm not sure.
  11. Same here! I've since bought books about Henry VIIIs wives, other Kings and Queens of England and the Elizabethan House of Commons. It's all so interesting I'm thinking of starting the Virgin's Lover soon
  12. It was horrible....I felt sick afterwards! Yack! I haven't had dreams like that for a while, thank goodness, but I went through a phase of having ones similar to those almost every night. These days I don't delve into the gruesome quite as often
  13. Haaaaa! Dear me!! I think we're up to episode 3 tonight Julia. It's showing now but my BF is hogging the TV! Booooooooooooooo!
  14. I usually get terrible nightmares if I'm reading Chuck Palahniuk or general horror. Some of them have been so disturbing I don't dare tell anyone for fear that they'll send me away to live in a padded cell! One of the worst dreams I ever had was while reading Rant. I dreamt that I bought a piece of meat from a butchers in the town where I used to live and cooked it before taking it in to work for people to eat. They loved it and asked for more so I went back to the butchers where I was ushered into the backroom to see humans were being skinned alive and chopped into pieces for sale. I then saw a head hanging from a meat hook and I woke up crying. Once I'd calmed down and managed to get to sleep again, I dreamt that a maniacal skinless man was running around my house as I lay in bed. Talk about a horrific dream! I didn't dare go back to sleep. There's a part in Rant which is quite bloody etc so I'm putting it down to that. Yack.
  15. Sheep or Viking Vampires???? Hmmmmm tough decisions!
  16. What would we do without it?
  17. Oooooh....good thread! I definitely swooned over the Harry Potter books and always tried to figure out what was going to happen in the story by the illustrations on the cover. When I was a kid I had a boxed set of classics that I'd take out of the box, read the blurb and then put them back in a different order. They took pride of place on my desk and I still have them (minus the box unfortunately.......my little Sister scribbled on them when she was about 8 and I've never forgiven her )
  18. Hmmmmm.....I think I'll see if the library has them before spending my hard earned student loan on them. Thanks Stephanie I'm looking forward to tonight's show. Apparently it really picks up pace during the next few weeks
  19. Wasn't this a tv show too? I'm not sure of the name but it rings a bell
  20. They're so nice (even if they are size of a 10p piece! ) I've just had baked potato, hummous and salad (*in a breathless voice*) but it wasn't just any old salad.....it was Marks and Spencers fresh and crispy garden salad
  21. Same here. I've been reading quite a few books which are part of a series recently so it's simply been a case of picking up the next book, or sometimes I'll alternate books from different series.
  22. Me too! I think the Special K diet is the same with any other types of food. It's ok to eat the same food every day for a few days but by the time you get to day 8 you're just about ready to swap your left leg for plate of chips Good luck with it and don't get too disheartened as you will lose weight! Positive thinking
