    Dr Who

I'll second (or third?) that notion. What Stephanie said. Eeee...I've loved it all. Really nice to see old Captain Jack in the mix briefly, too. He's got enough charisma going round for all of us!
  2. It's truly awesome. I have 5 series on DVD and need to get the sixth! Enjoy them, Nicola!
  3. We are currently wading through all seven series of Buffy. Currently edging towards the end of series 4. Joss Whedon is a god.
  4. Ahoy there! Just whizzing by to make nautical sounding greetings towards you. I hope you had a splendid Christmas and a bloomin' marvellous new years eve doo-dah and that everything in your world is tickety-boo and pucker.

    Chips! x

Thanks Janet - that's ace. Sorry to read that you were a bit dodgy over the hols, but am glad you feel rested and raring to go. Thanks for your help.

    Pip pip. :D

  6. Aye, fella. It's worth poking your nose into.

Morning Janet. Happy New Year and all that. How're you doing? I'd like to keep my thread going but just wish to change it's name to simply 'Mac Reads', if that's possible - I'm a little...faddy, I suppose, about stuff and would like to be able to go back over the books that I've read in one thread, if that's okay?

How was Christmas for you? Lots of fun, I hope.

Trust you are well. Take care. Mac.

  8. Hang fire, youth. I've asked the mods to change the title to simply Mac Reads without the 2009 bit. It's 'cos I'm a little anal and want to keep it all together...
  9. P.S. I love the new picture of Data with his cat Spot....

    ...OMG I'm a Trek Nerd!

  10. Hiya Noll. Happy New Year, mate. I hope you've had an ace Christmas and that you've been able to put your feet up, chilled to the max.

As per usual, I've spent most of the festive season with a blanket over my head (figuratively speaking, of course!), but have finally relocated my mojo. Peace be with me.

Hoping this finds you terribly well and groovy. Cheers!

  11. Aloha! Happy New Year and all that jazz. Would it be possible to change the name of my thread Mac Reads 2009 to simply Mac Reads, please? I like to scan back through the stuff I've read and didn't think about it when I started the thread when I first came on here - remember, I was a total dolt about the rules and such-like. No problem if not, obviously, but I was just wondering. Thanks ever so much.
  12. Darkly Dreaming Dexter by Jeff Lindsay Dexter Morgan appears to be the perfect gentleman. He leads a normal, quiet life working as a forensic officer for the Miami Police. He has a nice, shy girlfriend and is liked by her young children. But Dexter has a secret hobby. He's an accomplished serial killer. So far he's killed dozens of people and has never been caught, because he knows exactly how to dispose of the the evidence. And there are those who would rather he wasn't caught at all, because Dexter is a serial killer with a difference. He only kills the city's bad guys. Then Dexter's well-organised life is thrown into chaos. Another serial killer is invading his territory - and he wants Dexter to come out and play... What a superb d
  13. Crazy! We watched Yes Man this afternoon! Mmmmm, she's quite lovely, yes. I thought she was gorgeous in THGTTG as well. I'm off for beer in a short while. Beer is god...I mean, good! Have you had a good holiday so far? Have people been good and kind to you? Watcha get, watcha get??? x

  14. I am currently cooking Chicken Tikka Masala the easy way - I'm off out for beer shortly. Choo choo!
  15. Wahey! Evening Kelly!

  16. Aloha. Just that. And I hope you're well, obvs (as the youth say). x

  17. Good morning, Genevieve. It has been a while since I last dropped you a line - I've been on the internet less, very busy in the evenings, hiding under a blanket, that sort of thing - so I thought that now would be an opportune time to do so. How are you?

Has your Christmas been lovely, quiet and full of lovely people? I hope so, my friend. Mine has been a little hectic, but it is easing off a little for the next 5 days, which makes me glad. I have had the opportunity to cook for my friends, which is something I always enjoy - playing host and not poisoning anyone in the process! - and it's been nice seeing my family.

What's happening in your world, my lovely friend? Hoping you are very well. X

  18. Mac

Aloha, Paula. Things are reasonable with me, thank you kindly. Quite pleased that we're coming to the end of December (always a tricky month with many weighted dates) and actually looking forward to getting back to work. How are things in Groovesville? x

  19. Hiya Frankie. Cool avatar, mate. I have every episode of Due South on DVD, because I adored it when it was on tv during the 90's.

Hoping all things are well with you, my friend. It's been a while.

  20. Mac

Yo ho ho...oh...I'm a bit late for that, aren't I? Anyway, I hope you had a great Christmas (first one as a married couple!) and that you are looking forward to a magic year ahead.

    What's new witchoo? x

  21. Mac

Morning, Ben. How're things with you? Good Christmas? Looking forward to whipping up some funtime on NYE, perhaps throwing some shapes out on a maxed out dance floor to pumping toons with bass that's ripped to the

*and it's at this point that Mac has a seizure, due to the stress of being so hip he can't see his own shoes.

  22. Hey, CW. I hope all is well with you, too, my friend. Have a great New Years Eve. What's going down in Groove Town? Xx

  23. I did, as you say, have an amazing Christmas, although my body is complaining more than somewhat because of the amazingness of it. For some reason, all the tone seems to have left it and I've become some sort of amorphous blob, unable to move or fend for myself, fearful of all known predators which are at this time circling my abode waving spears and breathing fire....

...or maybe I made that up. I'm fine, actually and, as it happens, I'm just about to go climbing with my beautiful friend Katy. How's about that?

What's going on in your world, Lovely Lady? x

  24. Hi Scarlette. Christmas was good and relaxing, thank you. How was yours? Whatcha get up to? To be honest, mine mostly involved beer, wine and food - in that order! x

  25. Oooh, yesterday my friends and I went to see Sherlock Holmes and it was actually really good. Downey Jnr is excellent - they all were. Loved it, man!
