Thanks. I'm Lucybird on there too, although I'm not as active in the Harry Potter areas as I once was, I tend to lurk in the Harry Potter areas more but sometimes post. It's a great forum but a little daunting when you start off (especially now, it's changed so much since I joined)
  2. I've been a member for a while. Released lots of books but not had that many replies really. Still you never know when one will pop up! I've only ever found one, completely by fluke. I was leaving a book in my doctors surgery and spotted a book was already on the table (it was The Beach) I picked it up and it was a bookcrossing book! So I replaced it with my own.

Thanks, it's getting there. And thanks for all the welcomes, I think I'm going to like it here
  4. I'll probably go and see this one. I loved the book. I'm not quite sure how they'll make it into a film though. With all the time switches, and character point of view switches. We'll see, I'm not particully hopeful but if they do it well it could be amazing. I'm a pretty hardcore HP fan so I dislike the films because of all the changes. I still go to see them all though- and have learnt to save my complaining till the end and enjoy it as a film (although even that way they're not great)
  5. A lot of the famous men I find attractive are older actually...maybe I just like older guys
  6. I don't really like the Options ones. My favourite hot chocolate generally is Green and Blacks. But it's a bit expensive so I usually have Cadbury's instead which is more than good enough. I tried the Twinnings one once which looked amazing (like proper flakes of chocolate) but was disappointing.
  7. It's the only one I can make myself- unless you count ones where you just use curry paste, yogurt and water, so i like it. My favourite is delhi style lamb thought which my Dad makes and which I seem to destroy every time I try!
  8. You should, I really liked it
  9. lol yes. I love that scene. I have a bit of a thing for Hugh Grant movies...or just Hugh Grant generally...which is a bit wrong seeing as he's old enough to be my Dad, and I didn't like him so much with his floppy hair when he was younger
  10. Music and lyrics, it's so feel good! As for series Buffy the Vampire slayer I watch lots. And I borrowed Northern Exposure from my Mum's friend when I was still stick in the house with my broken leg and that was a good comfort one.
  11. My Mum made us chicken balti tonight, yumm yumm
  12. Only one has actually made me cry. That was Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. There are a few I've got a bit misty eyed over though, like The Time Traveler's Wife
  13. Usually only one. But it depends, if I have something more difficult to read or possibly that's 'depressing' then I read something lighter with it, like I am now
  14. Romeo + Juliet (The Baz Lurman version) Moulin Rouge Music and Lyrics (a guilty pleasure!) Chicago The best I've seen recently is Slumdog Millionaire, which is sure to become a favourite
  15. Cookie Dough, especially the Ben and Jerry's one! But anything with chocolate is good
  16. This is one I use all the time. It's tasty and really simple. For 4 people use: 500g mince (beef or lamb) 1 large tin baked beans 1 stoke cube (lamb or beef) 2 medium potatos, skins left on Worcester sauce 1. Pre-heat oven 200C 2. Brown off mince in saucepan 3. Add beans, a dash of Worcester sauce and crumble in stock cube 4. Slice potatoes about 5mm thick 5. Pour mince mixture into casserole dish, top with potatos 6. Cook in oven for about 50 mins or until potatoes are golden brown. Note you don't have to pre-cook the potatoes. Putting cheese on the top is tasty too
  17. I'm from Birmingham but people can't usually tell from my accent. It does come out on occasional words (like Birmingham, which means I always get the response "Oh I can tell now!" when I say where I'd from). And it's stronger when I've been drinking or talking to another Brummie. To the extend that one of my uni friends says that it's scary when me and a fellow Brummie are talking to each other
  18. I'm from Birmingham England. I did go to uni in Wales but then came back to Birmingham.
  19. I googled book forums, and this was first on the list and looked good

I know, I already spend so much time on my Harry Potter site...even when barely anyone is posting!

Hi, My name's Lucy I'm from Birmingham (UK) and I'm 21 (almost 22). I'm an active member of Chamber of Secrets forums which is a Harry Potter forum but things have been a little quite lately, and seeing as I'm stuck in the house most of the day (I broke my leg a few months ago and am only just getting up and about again). I used to post on the BBC's book board before it got closed so I thought a book forum would be a good new place. I tend to like mystery books, a bit of fantasy, historical fiction, and romances. Chick lit. is my guilty pleasure. Umm what else can I say... I'm a psychology graduate and hoping to go into educational psychology eventually, after I have the experience and the next degree! I like shopping, listening to music, writing, reading (obviously!), and spend far too much time on the internet!

JK Rowling. Phillip Pulman. Sebastian Fawkes Favourite book? That's quite a hard one too. I'm kinda obsessed with the Harry Potter books but I'm not sure if they're really my favourite. I like His Dark Materials by Phillip Pullman. Captain Correli's Mandolin. The Time Traveller's Wife How did you get here? Google
