  1. I was going to make a similar joke!
  2. Just out of curiousity, how do you go about finding authors from different countries?
  3. Yeah I think i'd like to try the 100+ challenge this year
  4. I was born in England, "down south" so my boyfriend says, in the city of Bath, then when we had been together for a while I moved up north to be with him in his home town of Lincoln
  5. Just wondering what your favourite recipes/things to cook are? I'm trying to expand my recipe collection this year and learn to make some new things, so I thought I'd ask you guys!
  6. Ohh I love baking and these look gorgeous!
  7. I've not read the film, but I probably would say, read the book and then watch the filmn
  8. Yeah, I've done the 50 book challenge for the past 2 years and also the 15,000 pages one, but I don't really seem to have trouble with reading 50 books, even on a bad year, so looking for something a little more challenging!
  9. Yeah I agree, I've just bought a bed with a slanted headboard so hopefully it'll be more comfy
  10. Oh those are lovely! I might swap out my harry potter kids books and get these ones now, they are much prettier!
  11. I've seen from some of the blogs that some of you on here participate in different book challenges each year, and I thought maybe you could post some of your favourite challenges on here, so people (like myself) who have no idea where to look but are interested in doing something like this will know where to go!
  12. Yeah me too, I'm quite looking forward to this coming year bookwise, but really I'd be more annoyed with the fact I know nobody else that reads, and my BF never throws away anything, or even gives anything away if he can help it, so my books would end up just left sitting in boxes or something for god knows how long
  13. I don't often browse in bookshops, I usually buy online as it works out cheaper, but when I go into the second hand book shop I rarely come out empty handed
  14. Yeah I'm the same, if I'm reading a series and I have the next books ready, I'll often just read them straight through, but generally, I'll just pick up what feels appealing to me at the time, if I read a few pages and decide I don't feel like it I just look for something else, though that doesn't happen too often
  15. Thanks, I'll make sure to keep my eyes open for one
  16. Yeah me too, but also reading a lot of Enid Blyton, specifically Secret Seven and Famous Five when I was about 6 or 7
  17. "Got another CSI question for you," Gloria said as Simon walked into the communication hub with an arm load of papers. Industrial Magic - Kelley Armstrong
  18. Yeah I was the same, sometimes I just pick up books and read them not realising until after that they're part of a series, and in some cases it's not really a big deal, but if I want to specifically read a series then I have to read it in order
  19. Only one for me, I prefer to concentrate completely on one story then move on to the next
  20. I keep majority of my books, but if I know I won't read something again, or I didn't like it, then I swap it for something I currently want to read But I mostly keep them, especially ones I've bought brand new
