I read Paul Auster's 'New York Trilogy' many years ago. It is a strange one, I hope you enjoy it. No reading managed at all this week - but I hope to make up for this today and tomorrow. I just have to decide what book to read..........mmmm

I have been fascinated by this story, especially when it was confirmed that he had a curvature of the spine. It was thought by many that the hunchback described in Shakespeare's texts was probably made up to curry favour with Elizabeth the First, not an accurate description of the king. But here is proof of a spinal defect. As to where he should eventually rest, that's a tough one and I'm glad not to have to be the one to decide. Anything is better than under a car park though!

Thanks for that Chaliepud, it was a nasty one and I can't have been the only car to have encountered it in recent days. Gggrrr! Some of the pressies I got for husband recently were two bird feeders; one with a roof and the other a mesh hanging tray. Now we don't have cats the birds are safer coming into our garden, and it is so nice to see them.

Back In The USSR ~ The Beatles

I started my day by hitting a deep pot hole, and blowing my tyre. It was just after 6 o'clock in the morning, dark and slightly spitting. It took me 25 minutes to get the blooming wheel off and ten minutes to get the spare on. Exhausting stuff, and I managed to pull some muscles in my thigh and hip. A very hot shower later and I have spent the day mooching around, drinking lots of tea and finding it difficult to get warm. I received a gorgeous piccy that has become my laptop's new backdrop and the lyrics written on the pic are from my favourite happy song (You Are My Sunshine), so despite a challenging start to my day, I have had my happy-happy song in my head all day.

Boo! We have just had chicken casserole. It was yummy!
