  2. Returned The Big Over Easy - Jasper Fforde, to the library and I reserved The Fourth Bear by the same author. I'm so glad I've found this very clever author. Just finished reading Harlan Cobens Just One Look, very exciting! Now I'm ready to start Killer Takes All - Erica Spindler
  3. I just ordered The Burning Wire, it never occured to me til I read your message that a Lincoln Rhymes novel could be disappointing!

  9. I read your review of The Shadow of The Wind and then saw it in a charity shop for 99p - what a bargain! I'm really looking forward to reading it when I finish the couple of library books I've got.
  10. Hi, have you tried Jonathan Kellermans Alex Delaware series of books? He is a child Psychologist who helps the police, they are very good if it's the right type for you.
  11. I'll look forward to reading that I hadn't realised part 2 was coming out, thanks Janet.
  12. Glad you're having more luck now! I've been using the library a lot more recently as well. I'm enjoying reading Wicked at the moment and also picked up The Big Over Easy from the library this morning, it looks fun and I'm looking forward to it.
  13. I've made a list of the books I need and will be looking out for them most definately. I'm looking forward to discovering how good she is. Hangs head in shame! Lol. I'm headed to the nearest bookshop list in hand and I won't be back `til I've found the first one at the very least.
  14. I totally agree with you about JD, he is the master and reading your review and comments makes me realise that this is a must to be re-read. Like you I read it and the others so long ago I'd forgotten how good they are. It's now on the definate TBR list. Thanks
  15. Thanks for that Lilywhite, it's sounds lovely, I'll be trying it very soon, I'll even try to be extra good and omit the cream.
  16. Can you believe I haven't read any Karin Slaughter I've got 3 of hers on the shelf ready though. I've heard good things about Karin.
  17. I need low fat, any chance of the recipe? I had tuna pasta bake today, it was quite nice just not the same without the cheese on top!
  18. No I haven't, but I'll definately check it out, thanks Charm.
  19. Hi Charm I'm feeling good thanks, how's you? I'm glad to see your enjoying your reading. Linda Fairstein is great, you'll agree I know when you come to read her, I really like the characters and can't wait to see what happens with them, I really can't remember caring so much about characters before! Enjoy Dexter when you come to read them again. I can't believe how much I care about the characters! Linda Fairstein really knows how to write a good story. You really should try Erica Spindler's Copycat, it got me hooked on her and she hasn't disappointed me yet. Entombed was the first Linda Fairstein book I read and I couldn't wait to read more of her work, hope you continue to enjoy it. Blood Vines is a newish book, I always enjoy Erica Spindler.
  20. I hadn't realised it had been so long since I was here! However here's the books I've read recently, (ones I can remember anyway) I've discovered two authors who were new to me and whom I've really enjoyed, they are: Linda Fairstein and Linda La Plante, both crime/thriller writers. Red Dahlia - Linda La Plante, brilliantly fast paced thriller. Silent Scream - Linda La Plante, another good story more about the policework involved in catching a killer. Entombed - Linda Fairstein brilliant, loved this book, the first I'd read from this author. Bad Blood - Linda Fairstein another good one! Killer Heat - Linda Fairstein can she write anything bad? don't think so! Hell Gate - Linda Fairstein Once again a great read, really enjoyed it. Blood Vines - Erica Spindler She didn't disappoint me! Dexter is Delicious - Jeff Lindsay Not my favourite Dexter story but I enjoyed it, and it showed a different side of Dexter, I'm glad I read it.
  21. Finished Silent Scream - Linda La Plante, last night, a really good book - I had my doubts about it for a while but once I was into it I could hardly put it down I'm so glad I found this author. I've now started Wicked - Gregory maguire, might go see the show in London next week so thought I'd be prepared!
  22. I thought this mini series was brilliant, and thought all the characters were well cast. I'll be rewatching them on iplayer, Sherlock's been the only TV program I've really enjoyed for a long time, and I'm sure I'll pick up on things I missed when I do see them again. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for more episodes to come in the future.
  23. I finished Dexter is Delicious this morning, not the best Dexter book in my opinion, but different! and I still enjoyed it. This afternoon I returned Dexter to the library and picked up 3 books, Silent Scream - Lynda La Plante, I've started this all ready and it's looking good so far. Just One Look - Harlan Coben and Wicked - Gregory Maguire.
  24. I read my first Lynda La Plante book last week, Red Dahlia, thoroughly enjoyed it and looking forward to reading more of her work. Glad your mojo's behaving!
  25. If CopyCat doesn't work for your mojo then you've got big trouble! I'm saving funds by using the library more at the moment, especially as I seem to be ploughing through books at the minute - long may it last. Happy reading.
