  1. Wahey! Yes, I agree. Peacefield your avatar is seriously distracting to me. Its gorgeous ... those eyes! Fantastic! frankie you some off with some crackers! LMAO Same here Oi you! We're not OLD either! Would someone please answer my question, I'm dying here people! Are Edward and Bella still together at the end????
  2. I wish I'd done the same. I'm nearly finished! Trust me, the spoilers are nothing to the effect of the books. In one way I think you two are missing some really affecting books. I think you would probably love them like the rest of us and should read them, but on the other hand the saying 'ignorance is bliss' keeps coming into my head when I'm telling myself how mad I was to pick the damn things up in the first place! Sometimes I think I should have left well alone They really do have a certain something about them, I have no idea how to describe it, but they are definately highly addictive! I would also love to hear another anti-twilight persons view, just so I know I'm not completely mad ... so come on, are you up for it?
  3. I may need an appointment with my therapist instead Now you know I don't resist spoilers , besides Roxi's right, I'm way past that bit. Frankie do NOT read this. ... and no 'it will spoil it Charm' cr*p! These books will be the death of me
  4. Totally. Avoid at all cost! I'm loving it so far ... I think.
  5. Now you're going all cryptic on me Are you saying it gets worse??
  6. I sat up until 3 in the morning to finish Eclipse ~by~ Stephenie Meyer . Synopsis Courtesy of Waterstones: As Seattle is ravaged by a string of mysterious killings and a malicious vampire continues her quest for revenge, Bella once again finds herself surrounded by danger. In the midst of it all, she is forced to choose between her love for Edward and her friendship with Jacob - knowing that her decision has the potential to ignite the ageless struggle between vampire and werewolf. With her graduation approaching, Bella has one more decision to make: life or death. But which is which? Following the international bestsellers Twilight and New Moon, Eclipse is the much-anticipated third book in Stephenie Meyer's captivating saga of vampire romance. My thoughts: Eclipse sees Bella torn between vampire Edward and werewolf Jacob, both of whom are deeply in love with her and both would die to protect her. The story of an avenging Victoria returns and results in a common cause where the lifelong enemies, werewolves and vampires, need to unite to survive ... or die trying...with Bella caught in the middle. I was really hoping for something a little less painful than the second in the series; New Moon, and thankfully I wasn't disappointed ( I don't think I could have taken it ) This one reeled me in again from the very beginning, with its intense emotional storyline but there was enough action to keep it interesting too. Whatever else is said about Stephenie Meyers' writing, the woman must have a magical formula for staying in your thoughts, no idea how she does it, but there you are. This one is definately my favourite so far. 9/10
  7. Once I read some, I will indeed

  10. I'm up to the part in Breaking Dawn where I really hope this doesn't continue, I really don't think I could take it!
  11. I'm a beta male in a werewolf pack, who has just discovered the human girl I'm totally in love with is slowly dying and there's not a damn thing I can do about it. She's also just married my mortal enemy.
  12. I'd had more than my fair share of near-death experiences; it wasn't something you ever really got used to. Breaking Dawn ~by~ Stephenie Meyer
  13. That was good! You should start a new Twilight diet! Wish I had lost weight, trust me, nothing comes between me and my food ;)
  14. Great review Frankie, just the sort of thing I might like. Must check it out
  15. :haha: What are we like? It is so flipping addictive! Its extremely hard to concentrate on such mundane things like cooking, ironing, even driving! 'He's a fictional character. He's a fictional character' ... My Mantra from now on ;) Have you read all four?
  16. Hiya! :D Yes I have! Is it that obvious? I'm a grown woman for goodness sake!

  20. Peacefield, I'm a mess . Trust me. Now you understand why I try to avoid chicklit and true sad stories!
  21. I do see what you mean about the end, it was pretty good I did find myself taking a peek at the last pages too, just for reassurance you know
  22. Oh dear God... I don't think I could take it, I'm a wreck! I'd better keep this in mind in case of emergencies only.
  23. I don't set a time limit on reading books, although if they're in a book ring they will automatically move to the top of my list after what I'm currently reading.
  24. Just posted Excuse me, WHAT IS MIDNIGHT SUN???
  25. New Moon ~by~ Stephenie Meyer Synopsis Courtesy of Waterstones: I stuck my finger under the edge of the paper and jerked it under the tape. 'Shoot,' I muttered when the paper sliced my finger. A single drop of blood oozed from the tiny cut. It all happened very quickly then. 'No!' Edward roared ...Dazed and disorientated, I looked up from the bright red blood pulsing out of my arm - and into the fevered eyes of the six suddenly ravenous vampires. For Bella Swan, there is one thing more important than life itself: Edward Cullen. But being in love with a vampire is more dangerous than Bella ever could have imagined. Edward has already rescued Bella from the clutches of an evil vampire but now, as their daring relationship threatens all that is near and dear to them, they realise their troubles may just be beginning ... My thoughts: Its very hard to describe what happens in this book with out giving too much away so there will probably be a lot of spoilers here This was one of the most painful books I've ever read. (Why the hell didn't anybody warn me??? ) The author's style of writing is still the same as Twilight, still not great, and yet I could almost feel Bella's pain. It follows her struggles as she comes to terms with what happens and has another pretty predictable storyline thrown in for one of her best friends. A misunderstanding proves to be exactly what she needs in the end to regain her ability to love. There was a lot more action in this book than the first one, so that made it a bit more enjoyable for me although it was like stepping on an emotional roller coaster ride too, which left me rather mentally exhausted after finishing it! I do understand why it rarely comes out top of the list of people's favourites from of the series (Now I remember why I stay away from chicklit and sad stories ) Obviously, because there are two more books, we know her story carries on and I'm looking forward to seeing where she goes. These books have an uncanny way of hooking you in, you just want more! 8/10
