  1. I prefer Sophie Kinsella and Emily Giffin. If you love chick-lit I highly recommend Emily Giffin's Something Borrowed and Something Blue. I passed both books on to my friends and they all loved it!
  2. The only other book I've read by Ahern was PS, I Love You. I really liked it and since my library has her other books I figured I'd add them to my TBR pile. What did you think of If You Could See Me Now and There's No Place Like Here?
  3. I'd had more than my fair share of near-death experiences; it wasn't something you ever really got used to. Breaking Dawn by Stephenie Meyer
  4. Yes, other then The Rescue, I've read The Notebook, A Bend in the Road and The Guardian. I enjoyed them all. On my list I have After You'd Gone byMaggie O'Farrell, A Swift Pure Cry by Siobhan Dowd, and I plan on re-reading To Kill A Mockingbird by Harper Lee and The Diary of Anne Frank.
  5. Yeah, I wasn't crazy about New Moon. If you ask me, not enough Edward. So far I'm into Breaking Dawn because of
  6. I loved Remember Me? and The Rescue. Hope you enjoy them as much as I did. Also, I have about three or four books from your list on mine this year. Can't wait to read your reviews. =)
  7. Thanks, BookBee. Yesterday I would have told you Eclipse was my favortie so far, but I just started Breaking Dawn and the first 100 pages have me thinking otherwise. =)
  8. Right now I'm reading Eclipse by Stephenie Meyer, so I have to go with Bella Swan. I'm sure you can figure out why. =)
  9. Currently Reading: Marley & Me: Life and Love with the World's Worst Dog by John Grogan Synopsis: John and Jenny were just beginning their life together. They were young and in love, with a perfect little house and not a care in the world. Then they brought home Marley, a wriggly yellow furball of a puppy. Life would never be the same. Marley quickly grew into a barreling, ninety-seven-pound streamroller of a Labrador retriever. He crashed through screen doors, gouged through drywall, and stole women's undergarments. Obedience school did no good
  10. Below is my growing list of books I plan on reading in 2009. ~ The book I'm currently reading is in bold. ~ Books I plan on re-reading are marked (RR) ~ Books I've already read this year are in red and are rated out of five. ~ Books with a line through it I either decided not to read or I wasn't enjoying it and gave up. =( My Rating System 1 - Awful! If I didn't have such respect for books, I'd have thrown it at the wall! 2 - Annoying. Wouldn't recommend this. 3 - Average. Didn't sway me one way or another. 4 - Enjoyable. 11. All our attempts at subterfuge had been in vain. Eclipse by Stephenie Meyer
  12. I voted for contemporary fiction, chick-lit, classics and non-fiction because those seem to be the four categories I always go to when choosing a book.
  13. I always use the same bookmark. My Mom brought me back a really nice leather one from Florence, Italy a few years ago. Its black and has the fleur-de-lis and my initials on it engraved in gold.
  14. Most of the time I can't resist starting a new book that I bought. Otherwise I just pick according to my mood.
  15. Its rare for me to start reading a book and not finish it. However, I've recently done it with two books. Sammy's Hill by Kristin Gore and The Story of Edgar Sawtelle by David Wroblewski. I was loving both books, but stopped reading them because work got in the way. I guess my goal for 2009 should be to go back and finish them.
