I completely agree Karen. I have often noticed that an author's first book is the one I least enjoy - but I usually give authors at least two chances - unless the first book was absolutely awful.

I think it is still as good now with season 4. Personally I think season 2 did kinda go a little overboard and I started to lose interest, but I'm glad I kept watching because season 3 was really good and season 4 has started off very well too. Things have started to come together a little bit in season 4 - but we are only two episodes in, so I'm sure the writers have thrown in some other surprise twist somewhere which is just around the corner!

Yes I am planning to read it at some point, I will probably wait until it comes out in standard paperback size then buy it. I have heard alot of good things about his second book, it is definatley on my 'to be read in the future' list!

Have just finished The Kite Runner. I have to say that I throughly enjoyed it. It is not the type of book that I would ordinarily choose for myself, I only read it at my sister's insistence at how much I would enjoy it. She was right, I just couldn't put it down and have been reading it at every opportunity. I would like to watch the film version now to see how it compares. Does anybody know when it is due out on DVD?

I am about half way through The Kite Runner and have to say I am really enjoying it. I find myself thinking about Amir and Hassan at random points during the day - I think that is the effect a really good book has on me, that I just can't stop thinking about it
