The English Patient by Michael Ondaatje (1992) Great Canadian novel, I think its Canadian, anyway great story and shows how love can connect people back to humanity after war.

I always finish a book. I have read some that were like nails on a chalkboard, but then the ending blew me away! So for that reason, I always finish a book. You just never know.

When I was in New York I purchased a bookmark with a picture of the New York skyline on it. I wrote the date of the trip on the back. I like it because the bookmark now has meaning.

I don't have any problems with my eyes, but I do find it annoying when a book has small print. It looks intimidating

The Mad Trapper I have yet to find a good book on him worth reading, but it always fascinated me. The guy was nuts. Its not an exciting story like Jack the Ripper or anything, but its a good Canadian mystery

I LOVE this idea. I think it sounds fun The list looks great. Are you willing to include the Gregory Maguire books? Not all of his books are based on Disney stories, but some are. He takes the idea and makes it his own, while still including the original fairy tale.
