"We ran around to investigate and found a military vehicle sitting astride our fence."
IMMENSE description.

Never mind doctor or nurse, think how many of his family/friends used the fact they had a friend they could tell anything to and no one would find out. You've been watching too much Holby! -
He must have heard some good secrets and stuff though. A doctor and nurse maybe messing about in his room thinking they were safe. He could probably blackmail alot of people.
strangely, that was the second thought in my head when I read of this.

Why on earth was a convicted murderer out on a shopping trip? Surely she should have been locked up and serving her sentence, not getting excorted round the shops? Disgusting!
silly Kell, We are to lock these people up as that is as "cruel as it can get".

Very true, the press love to blow things up but usually their tall tales are true at the core (which I hope they are not in this case). We got a source on this?
-
That is INSANE. So they are not even going to make an attempt to find the real criminal? the person who had a gun then felt the need to dump it ?
-
no justification? So mass murderers are to just sit in jail watching sky and costing us millions of pounds?

The part I like is that he says the system flagged it as being an age restricted product. But that system had to be programmed and approved..meaning MULTIPLE adults in a position of influence within that business (and who hold a vote for our elections, sadly) believed that to be accurate.
*edit*
EPIC! In our land of CCTV I DEMAND video of this.

Amazon were using DHL during the strikes (at least that's who brought my stuff).

He does have a point, it is false advertising. But still..to take it to court. That is hilarious.

Assuming a CRB is the same as a Disclosure Scotland, I had to have one done because in my job I may *TALK* to a child.

The "modern climate" really irritates me. Do children not walk to school either? every parent seems OBSESSED that their child will be kidnapped. Eventually anyone who goes within 2 feet of a child will be liable for prosecution.

Madness. As said above, if someone BREAKS into your house, you should be legally entitled to do anything it takes to ensure your own safety.
As for Prince Phil, how is that news? if he made the same remark to someone who had the surname Campbell it would be written off as a lame joke yet if its a foreign sounding name its a news event? come on.

It is in someone's house, how is it not fair use? and surely J.K.Rowling owns the HP rights not WB ?

The Boy needs mocking. if he feels so bad change it. or embrace it. one of the two. The boys missing out on a world of chat up lines relating to his "magic wand" .
-
The heavy handed idiocy the alienates customers rather than embraces them.

these stories always irritate me.

oh yeah that would go soo well.

apparently it would not even be possible for the balloon to carry a child weight.

I have to agree, I do not think a lot of people are put off reading by the price, they are put off because they have a lot of other distractions. Tv, film, internet, video games etc are all more likely to grab children at a young age before they get to books.

sounds like your copy of IE is corrupt (more so than default, the evil corrupt program that it is! ). Not sure if IE can be removed? I know it certainly could not be in the past, if it can be, remove it and re-install it, if not, you will probably just have to stick with firefox or similar till you can have a re-install done. The only other thing I can think of to try is this - create a new user account on your computer and see if its IE works, it could be a profile issue with your install.
